PSN shows your trophies to friends. PSNProfiles shows them to everyone, in order, with dates, percentages and leaderboards. If you care how your profile reads on PSNProfiles, a paid platinum is not just a trophy count: it is a set of timestamps that will sit in your public history for good.
This PSNProfiles trophy order guide explains what the site records, how the two timestamp options on our platinum pages look once they land there, what disputes and flags mean, and what to put in your order message so the result fits the profile you have built.
What PSNProfiles records about every trophy
PSNProfiles reads your trophy data from PSN, which is why your trophy visibility has to be set so anyone can see it. The site refreshes your profile when you, or someone viewing it, asks for an update, so new trophies appear after your console has synced and the profile has been refreshed.
For each trophy it stores the exact date and time it was earned. From those timestamps it builds several public views:
Game pages showing your completion percentage and when you earned each trophy.
The Trophy Log, which lists every trophy you own in the order you earned it.
Your platinum list, ordered by when each platinum landed.
Rarity, calculated from the players PSNProfiles tracks, which is why its percentages differ from the ones your console shows.
PSNProfiles does not know how a trophy was earned. There is no label for a service, a friend's help or a guide. All it sees is what PSN reports: which trophy, and when.

Instant vs legit timestamps on a public profile
Every per-game platinum page offers a required "Timestamp type" choice: "Instant time-stamps" for $15 or "Legit time-stamps" for $25. The product descriptions give an example of each.
Instant: "All trophies unlock at once or within a few seconds." The page's example runs from 4:30:01 PM to 4:30:10 PM on a single day, with the platinum at the end. On PSNProfiles, that game shows every trophy earned in the same moment, and the Trophy Log shows the whole list stacked together.
Legit: "Trophies unlock on different dates and times with realistic gaps." The example spreads a list from a first trophy on June 2 to the final trophy and platinum on June 18. On PSNProfiles that reads like a normal playthrough spread over a couple of weeks.
| Question | Instant time-stamps ($15) | Legit time-stamps ($25) |
|---|---|---|
| Product page wording | All trophies unlock at once or within a few seconds | Different dates and times with realistic gaps |
| Game page on PSNProfiles | Whole list earned within seconds | Spread across days, like a normal run |
| Trophy Log | One dense block of trophies | Interleaved with your other games |
| Dispute exposure | Higher: the timing is visibly impossible | Lower, though nothing is dispute-proof |
| Best fit | Private profiles, or players who only want the PSN count | Public profiles and leaderboard-conscious hunters |
Disputes, flags and what cannot be undone
PSNProfiles lets members raise disputes about profiles whose trophy timings look impossible, such as a long list completed in seconds. If staff on that site agree, the profile can be flagged and removed from its leaderboards. That is a PSNProfiles decision about PSNProfiles rankings; your trophies stay on PSN either way.
Two PlayStation rules make it worth deciding up front. First, earned trophies cannot be deleted. Second, you can only hide a game from your trophy list while it has zero percent progress, so once trophies are on a list, that game stays visible. Whatever timestamps you pick are the ones people will see.
So the honest summary is: if your PSNProfiles ranking matters, choose legit timestamps and accept that no option is guaranteed to pass every scrutiny. If you only care about the count on your own console, instant timestamps cost less.

Writing an order message that protects your profile
The product pages do not promise any particular unlock sequence, so put your preferences in writing and ask support to confirm them. A useful message covers:
The game and the exact list. If the game has separate PS4 and PS5 lists, say which one; our PS4 vs PS5 matching guide explains why.
Your timestamp choice, using the page's wording, so there is no ambiguity.
Existing progress. If you already earned some trophies yourself, say so. Ask how new legit timestamps will sit next to your own.
Order across games. If you tick "Platinum trophy for 3 extra games - 20% Off" (+$36), you are ordering four games in total. Name all four and the order you would like their platinums to appear in, if that matters to you.
Milestones you care about. If you are about to reach a round number of platinums and want a specific game to be that one, mention it.
The store contacts you by email after purchase. If an answer would change whether you buy at all, send the question through the contact page first.
After delivery: check before you refresh
Once support confirms the order, sync your console (automatic on PS5; from the Trophies app's Options menu on PS4), then refresh your profile on PSNProfiles. Check the game page and your Trophy Log, and take a screenshot. If something does not match what you asked for, tell support straight away while the order is fresh. Then follow the account steps in our trophy service login guide: change your password and sign out of other devices.

Pick your option with your profile in mind
Start from the PlayStation trophy services hub, open the platinum page for your game, and choose the timestamp type that matches how public your profile is. If PSNProfiles rankings matter, legit timestamps are the option built for that.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will PSNProfiles show that I used a trophy service?
There is no label for it. PSNProfiles only sees which trophies you earned and when. What other hunters notice is the timing, which is why instant timestamps stand out and legit timestamps blend in.
Can my PSNProfiles account get flagged?
It can if someone disputes timings that look impossible and the site agrees. A flag removes you from PSNProfiles leaderboards but does not touch your trophies on PSN. Legit timestamps lower the chance, but no option can guarantee it.
Which timestamp option looks more natural?
Legit time-stamps, the $25 option, spread unlocks across different dates and times with realistic gaps. Instant time-stamps, the $15 option, unlock the list within seconds. Pick legit if your profile is public and you care how it reads.
Can I choose the order my platinums appear in?
You can ask. The product pages do not promise a sequence, so put the order you want in writing, especially if you add the 3 extra games option, and ask support to confirm before work starts.
Do I need to update PSNProfiles myself?
New trophies appear once your console has synced and your PSNProfiles profile is refreshed. Make sure your trophy visibility allows anyone to see it, sync the console, then request an update on your profile page.
Can I hide the game afterwards?
No. PlayStation only lets you hide games that have zero percent progress, and earned trophies cannot be deleted. Treat your timestamp choice as permanent.
