Pokémon TCG Pocket Free Hourglasses: Every Source in 2026

Pokemon TCG Pocket YouTube thumbnail: How I Get 1800 Pack Hourglass for Free Player (F2P) - Pokemon Trading Card Game TCG Pocket

You get free hourglasses in Pokémon TCG Pocket mainly from missions, event rewards, player level-ups, first clears of solo battles, ranked season rewards and the monthly Shop stock you buy with Shop Tickets. In November 2026 the biggest free batches come from the Dual Fusion Emblem Event missions and the end of Ranked Match Season C1, with smaller daily drips from missions you can finish in a few minutes.

For this guide we checked Serebii's items, missions and booster pack pages, Game8's Pack Hourglass, ranked and emblem event pages, the official collecting guide and Dual Fusion announcement on Pokemon.com, and Insider Gaming's report on the 2026 World Championships drops, all in November 2026.

The Hourglass Types and What Each One Does

Pocket uses several hourglasses, and each one speeds up a different timer. Mixing them up is the most common beginner mistake, so here is how Serebii's item list describes them:

  • Pack Hourglass: takes one hour off your pack stamina timer. Pack stamina refills one pack every 12 hours, so twelve Pack Hourglasses equal one extra pack.
  • Wonder Hourglass: takes one hour off the Wonder Stamina timer, which regenerates one heart every 12 hours.
  • Trade Hourglass: takes one hour off the Trade Stamina timer.
  • Event Hourglass: cuts two hours from the event stamina used for event battles.
  • Special Pack Hourglass: Game8's First Partners page says these open the special pack and come from campaigns and events, separate from the weekly special pack stamina.

Game8's Pack Hourglass page adds a useful detail: there is no fixed cap on how many you can use at once, only the hours remaining until the next pack, and any leftover time carries over. That means you never waste hourglasses by using them, but you also cannot bank them inside the timer.

Free Hourglasses Available in November 2026

This month is unusually generous because the second anniversary overlaps with the Dual Fusion launch. The official Dual Fusion announcement and Game8's event pages list these sources:

  • Dual Fusion Emblem Event missions, until November 15 (16 in many time zones): Game8 lists 12 Pack Hourglasses each for taking part in 3, 5, 10 and 15 battles, which is 48 Pack Hourglasses, or four packs, just for playing event matches. Wins add Shinedust on top.
  • Bonus Week, November 13 to 20: daily login missions reward a booster pack directly, which saves hourglasses you would otherwise spend.
  • Promo Pack C Series Vol. 1, November 17 to December 1: promo packs from daily missions and battles.
  • Ranked Match Season C1, November 30 to December 14: an end-of-season emblem plus rewards based on final rank, covered in the next sections.
  • Community Week in early December: swapping and gifting cards with friends pays out a mix of hourglass types from the 5th through the 12th.

If you only do one thing, play the 15 event battles before the Emblem Event closes. Win or lose, the participation missions alone pay out four packs' worth of hourglasses, and the wins count toward emblems as well. Our emblem guide explains the win targets.

Repeatable Sources Every Player Should Use

Events come and go, but a handful of sources keep paying out all year. None of them takes long, and together they add up to several extra packs a month.

  • Daily missions. Serebii's mission list shows daily tasks such as logging in, opening packs, one Wonder Pick and one battle, with 3 Pack Hourglasses for completing five daily missions.
  • Player level-ups. Game8 lists 12 Pack Hourglasses per level, which is a free pack each time you level up.
  • Solo battle first clears. Each solo deck pays once on its first clear: Game8 lists 2 Pack Hourglasses for Beginner, 3 for Intermediate, 5 for Advanced and 7 for Expert. New expansions add new solo decks, so check the solo battle list after every release.
  • Beginner and advanced missions. Serebii lists 24 Pack Hourglasses for each of the early beginner tasks and 120 Pack Hourglasses for completing nine advanced missions, one of which is linking your Nintendo Account. Newer players should finish these first.
  • The monthly Shop stock. The official collecting guide says the Shop offers a limited supply of Pack and Wonder Hourglasses that refreshes monthly. Game8's Shop listing showed single Pack Hourglasses for 2 Shop Tickets and bundles of six for 12, with ten of each per month.

Put those numbers together and the steady sources are worth more than they look. Finishing the daily missions every day of a 30-day month brings in 90 Pack Hourglasses, which is seven and a half packs. Buying out the monthly Shop stock at the quantities Game8 listed adds 70 more, almost six packs, for 140 Shop Tickets. That is 160 Pack Hourglasses, or more than thirteen extra packs a month, before counting level-ups, new solo decks or any event at all. That is a meaningful boost on top of the 60 free packs pack stamina gives you over the same 30 days.

The catch is consistency. Daily missions reset every day, so a missed day is gone for good, and the Shop stock refreshes monthly whether you bought it or not. A two-minute routine of opening your free packs, doing one Wonder Pick and playing one quick battle covers most of the daily list.

Shop Tickets themselves come from event missions, step-up battles, thanks after Wonder Picks and likes on your showcase, according to the official guide, so playing normally keeps that monthly stock affordable.

Ranked Seasons Pay Out in Hourglasses

Ranked Match is the most underrated hourglass source. Game8's breakdown of the previous season, B4b SP in October 2026, shows rewards scaling with your final rank: 10 to 25 Pack Hourglasses across the Beginner tiers, 30 to 45 for Poké Ball, 50 to 65 for Great Ball, 75 to 90 for Ultra Ball, 95 for Master Ball and 100 for the top 10,000 players. Each tier also awards its own emblem.

Ranked Match Season C1 runs from November 30 to December 14, 2026, according to the official announcement. Game8 notes that ranked unlocks at player level 3 under Versus Matches, so even newer players can take part. Reward tables can change between seasons, so check the in-game rewards screen when C1 opens, but a few evenings of play near the start of the season is typically worth several packs.

A sturdy deck makes a big difference here. If you are not sure what to bring, the most played Dual Fusion decks are a good starting point, and opening the right packs to build one is covered in our best packs guide.

Promotions, Codes and Twitch Drops

Outside the game, hourglasses occasionally arrive through promotions. Game8's archive shows codes for 24 Pack Hourglasses from official retailers starting in October 2025, a summer giveaway in 2025 and a Team Rocket's Ambition puzzle campaign that ended on September 30, 2026. During the 2026 World Championships in late August, Insider Gaming reported a Twitch drop of 24 Pack Hourglasses for watching 30 minutes of official coverage.

None of those are live right now. As of early November 2026 there is no active gift code, and our codes guide explains how redemption works through the official gift site so you are ready when the next one appears. Treat any site that promises unlimited hourglasses as a scam.

For completeness, the paid Premium Pass is the one non-free route worth mentioning. The official collecting guide says it adds a booster pack every 24 hours and unlocks Premium Missions that award more Pack Hourglasses, Wonder Hourglasses and premium tickets. Everything else in this guide costs nothing but time, and for most players the free sources above are enough to open a burst of packs every couple of weeks.

How to Spend Hourglasses Wisely

Earning hourglasses is half the job. The other half is spending them where they matter most:

  1. Save Pack Hourglasses for a target. Spending them the moment you get them spreads packs thinly. Saving 48 from the event and spending them on the one booster your deck needs gives you four focused packs.
  2. Use Wonder Hourglasses on rare picks. Wonder Pick costs more stamina when a pack contains rarer cards, so save Wonder Hourglasses for picks with cards you actually want rather than burning them on commons.
  3. Time Trade Hourglasses with friends. They only help when you have a partner online, so use them during Community Week or a planned trading session. Our trading guide covers the rest of the trading costs.
  4. Keep a reserve for the next set. The official announcement says the Dual Fusion rental decks are replaced when the next booster arrives after December 15, so a reserve of a few hundred Pack Hourglasses lets you open a burst of packs on launch day.

One more tip: claim gifts from the Gift box promptly. Game8 notes that gifts sent by the developers expire, and an unclaimed batch of hourglasses is the easiest loss to avoid.

If You Would Rather Not Farm Hourglasses

Hourglass farming adds up, but a large collection still takes months. Some players skip ahead with an account that already has a big hourglass reserve, and the store's Pokémon TCG Pocket page shows listings from independent sellers that state their own Pack Hourglass and Wonder Hourglass counts along with card totals.

Before considering one, read what the official terms say: The Pokémon Company International's Terms of Use describe hourglasses, cards and other virtual items as licensed to you personally and not transferable, and they bar transferring or reselling them unless the company has expressly allowed it.
