As of 21 October 2026 there is no live Dying Light: The Beast event. Techland's three-week Call of the Beast: Anniversary Edition ended on 12 October, and the window to claim its rewards on the Dying Light Outpost closed on 19 October at 2:00 PM CEST. Techland's own FAQ says anything left unclaimed after that cutoff is "permanently unavailable."
Below is every Beast event reward we could confirm from Techland's Outpost pages, patch notes and Steam posts, how claiming works, and what you can still do about a reward you missed.
Is there a Dying Light: The Beast event right now?
No. The Outpost's events list still shows a "Live" tag on the anniversary tile, but the event page itself says "The Event Has Ended," and Techland's last posts about it, on 12 and 13 October, were the wrap-up and a last-chance reminder. As of 21 October 2026 the next Beast event had not been announced.
The other 2026 events on the Outpost (The Year of the Horse, Infected Outbreak, Undead West and Viral Rush) are Dying Light 2 events and give no Beast items. If you would rather sit a future event out, weekend modifiers included, Techland's weekly posts say to turn off Community Event Participation in the Game tab of the Options menu.
Call of the Beast: Anniversary Edition (September to October 2026)
The anniversary event came with update 1.7 and ran from 21 September to 12 October 2026, after a kick-off Double XP weekend from 18 September. Each week the community had to kill 50,000,000 enemies, and all three targets fell: 79.4 million kills in week one, 58.7 million in week two and 50.46 million in week three, reached in the final hours. Each goal unlocked one item on the Outpost the following Monday at 2:00 PM CEST:
- Castor Keychain (week 1), a weapon charm.
- Kyle's Cane (week 2), a weapon.
- Styled Crane (week 3), an outfit.
A weekday vote also set each weekend's modifiers: slashing weapons won week one (more dismemberment, more armed enemies), head kills won week two (critical health refilling to 100%, but all XP lost on death) and the flamethrower won week three (infinite stamina, Fury points at half rate). Those effects were temporary, not items you keep.

Crane's Anniversary Drops: the 21-day login calendar
Alongside the goals ran a web calendar on the Outpost. From 21 September to 11 October you played the game, opened the Drops page and claimed that day's item, with missed days claimable until the 19 October cutoff. Each reward could be claimed once per account, and Techland says in-game items cannot be traded or sold. The calendar mixed:
- Friday gold drops: Goldie Shots (25 September), Golden Spread (2 October) and Gold Rush (9 October). Techland's 1.7 notes describe the calendar's headline items as festive weapon skins with blueprints.
- In-game supplies: three Ammo Crates and two Crafting Starter Kits.
- Outpost Tokens on four of the days.
- Downloads: three wallpapers plus DIY files for Beast-themed posters, a Bober the Beaver keychain, Castor Woods postcards, a T-shirt, a coffee mug and a Kyle Crane statue.
The original Call of the Beast (October 2025 to January 2026)
The first Call of the Beast ran for 11 weeks from 16 October 2025, with a new community challenge every Thursday at 4 PM CET, from dismembering limbs to exploding enemies. Each challenge had two goals, and most weeks paired a car skin with a weapon, from the Lumberjack car skin and Woodchopper Axe in week one to The Classic and the Table Leg in week eleven.
Two thresholds mattered. Clearing 17 of the 22 goals unlocked a Legendary Skin for everyone, which Techland confirmed on 29 December 2025. Reaching 20 meant that, in Techland's words, "everyone who took part, even just once, will receive every Call of the Beast reward." The community finished on exactly 20, missing only the second goals of week 6 (Master Craftsman) and week 9 (Night Looter), and delivery to stashes began on 7 January 2026. Techland's wording does not say whether the two missed items, Shanker and Stinger, were included, and it never named the Legendary Skin.

Twitch drops and launch gifts
The Beast has had one Twitch drops campaign, from 18 to 26 September 2025: 20 minutes of watching participating streams earned The Slicer blade, 60 minutes the Code Orange truck skin and 120 minutes the Blue Heat rifle. You claimed them in your Twitch inventory, linked Twitch to your Outpost account and connected that account to Steam, PSN, Xbox or Epic. As of 21 October 2026 the Outpost lists no later Beast campaign.
Launch week brought gifts too. The Spectral Bat went to every player on 19 September 2025, when the game reached Very Positive on Steam, and the Hellhound Shotgun followed on 20 September as thanks for patience over the indoor-rain bug. Playing at least four hours on launch weekend added the Burning Wolf Axe, which completes the Burning Wolf set with the shotgun. Pre-order and pre-launch owners also got the Hero of Harran Bundle, the APEX Car Skin and the Kyle Crane Legacy Outfit.

The PUBG MOBILE crossover
The Beast's first crossover ran from 31 October to 21 November 2025. Activating it on the Outpost sent the Airdrop Finder car skin to your stash and unlocked a quest, Skillet in Techland's 1.3 notes, that triggers after the main story mission Power Gambit. Finishing the chain gave the Marked Man outfit, whose gear pieces add XP, headshot and firearm boosts, the Battleground Keychain charm, and a frying pan and baseball bat that Techland's roadmap calls the Killing Pan and Battle Royale Bat.
The Outpost page now says the crossover "Has Come to an End." Players who earned the items kept them: MP1st, citing Techland, reported that the first patch of 2026 only changed how they look.
How to claim Outpost rewards
Every web-claimed Beast reward runs through the same account link. These are Techland's support steps:
- Create a Dying Light Outpost account (formerly Pilgrim Outpost) and activate it from the email link.
- Log in and connect the platform you play on: Steam, PlayStation, Xbox or Epic.
- Press Claim on the event or drops page.
- Check your in-game stash. With the game running it can take up to 10 minutes; otherwise it is there at your next login.
Twitch drops can take up to two hours once accounts are linked, and nothing shows until you are past the prologue, because the stash is not available before that.
Missed an event reward? Your options
Techland's rules are strict: each weekly reward was exclusive to its challenge, and the anniversary FAQ says unclaimed items are gone after 19 October. That leaves a few realistic routes:
- Contact Techland Support if you qualified. If you took part or claimed in time and the item never arrived, open a ticket. When hotfix 1.6.4 fixed a missing-rewards bug in April 2026, Techland told affected players to contact Support to have them granted.
- Watch for a re-run. No re-release of past Beast rewards had been announced as of 21 October 2026, though the original Call of the Beast did end with every reward going to anyone who joined once.
- Chase the rewards that never expire. Legend Levels, New Game+ and Nightmare all have permanent reward tracks; see our max level guide and New Game+ guide, and the legendary weapons guide for gear you can earn any time. Double XP weekends are the event bonus worth catching; our XP farm guide shows where to spend them.
- Start from a save that already has them. On PS5 or PC, our All Unlocked Legend Level 300 starter save includes past-event content, the Twitch drops and the 1st Anniversary rewards. Paid DLC items and the pre-order Hero of Harran Bundle are removed unless your account owns them; our other Beast services are on the Dying Light hub.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a Dying Light: The Beast event right now?
No. As of 21 October 2026 no Beast event is live: the Anniversary Edition ended on 12 October and its claim window closed on 19 October. Techland has not announced the next one.
Can I still claim Kyle's Cane or the Styled Crane outfit?
Not through the Outpost. The cutoff was 19 October 2026 at 2:00 PM CEST, and Techland says unclaimed rewards are permanently unavailable. If you claimed in time and the item is missing, contact Techland Support.
How do I start the PUBG quest and get the frying pan?
You cannot any more. The quest was activated on the Outpost and ran from 31 October to 21 November 2025, and the crossover page now says it has ended. Players who finished it kept the items.
Why are my event rewards or Twitch drops not showing up?
Check that your Outpost account is connected to the platform you play on, that you pressed Claim, that you are past the prologue and that you have free inventory space. Allow up to 10 minutes for Outpost claims and two hours for Twitch drops, then relaunch.
How do I get the Spectral Bat or the Legacy outfit?
Neither is earned in-game. The Spectral Bat was a September 2025 gift added for every player by update, and the Kyle Crane Legacy Outfit went to pre-order and pre-launch owners through version 1.2.2. We could not confirm that newer accounts still receive the bat.
What was the Call of the Beast Legendary reward?
A Legendary Skin, unlocked for everyone when the community cleared 17 of the 22 goals and delivered from 7 January 2026. Techland's posts call it only the Legendary Skin and never gave its name.
