People searching for a Xenoverse 2 save transfer usually mean one of three things. Some want to know how a bought save actually reaches their console. Some want to move progress from the PS4 version to the PS5 version. And some hope to move a save between accounts or onto Xbox or PC. Only the first two are possible with our product, and they work very differently, so this guide takes each in turn.
Transfer one: how the store delivers the save
There is no file for you to download and no USB stick to copy. The save is moved onto your own profile by the store team, using the account handover details you submit at checkout. Because it lands on your own account, you keep your PSN name, friends list, trophies and purchases, and you simply load Xenoverse 2 to find the finished roster.
| Stage | Your part | The store's part |
|---|---|---|
| Checkout | Buy the save and enter your PS4 or PS5 handover details, plus any contact notes | Order recorded |
| Contact | Watch your email, and any social or text contact you added | Gets in touch about the order |
| Transfer | Stay off Xenoverse 2 and be ready with a 2-step code if you use one | Logs in on your behalf and moves the save onto your profile |
| Confirmation | Read the confirmation message | Confirms the transfer is complete |
| First load | Launch the game and check the contents | Available through support if anything looks wrong |
The product page does not quote a fixed delivery time, so if timing matters, for example because you are travelling, ask through the contact page before ordering.
Get the technical side ready first
Most delivery hiccups come from mismatched versions rather than anything exotic. Before you order, make sure the Xenoverse 2 install you play is fully updated, because the save is described as updated to the latest game patch. Decide whether you play the PS4 version or the native PS5 version and say so in your order; our PS5 guide explains why the two are not the same thing. Check which DLC packs you own as well, since the save records DLC story progress but cannot add packs to your account.
Security preparation, such as using a unique password and planning for 2-step verification, has its own checklist in the safety guide.

The save replaces your progress; it does not merge
This is the point people most often miss. The delivered file is a complete roster of eight characters with their story, missions and inventory, so it takes the place of the Xenoverse 2 progress already on the account rather than slotting in beside it. Xenoverse 2 keeps your characters and shared items together, and there is no in-game tool to combine two saves.
If you have a character you are attached to, back up your current save before ordering, using PlayStation Plus cloud storage or a USB copy where your console allows it, and mention it to support so they know what you expect. That way the old character is not lost, just stored.
Transfer two: PS4 version to PS5 version
When Bandai Namco announced the native PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions in March 2024, it said owners of the older versions could carry their saved data over. That official transfer is how you move your own progress from the PS4 build to the PS5 build. It is separate from our delivery and does not need us at all; TANKdGAMER's video shows the steps.
The cleanest order of events is: upgrade to the PS5 version, transfer your own progress if you want it preserved there, back that up, and only then order the modded save for the PS5 version. Doing it the other way round risks a delivery to the PS4 build followed by a transfer that overwrites it.

Transfer three: what cannot be moved
Some transfers are simply not on offer. The product is sold for PlayStation 4 and 5 only, with PC and Xbox named as exclusions, so there is no route from a PlayStation save to an Xbox or Steam copy of the game. There is also no official cross-platform progression in Xenoverse 2 that would carry characters between PlayStation and other systems. Xbox and PC players can find their options in the Xbox and PC guide.
After the transfer: a quick check
Load each of the eight slots and confirm the level reads 199. Open History Mode and the Expert Missions list to see the progress recorded, pay a visit to the Hero Colosseum, and glance at the Zeni counter, which should show the 99,999,999 listed. If something does not match the listing, contact support with your order details before you change anything.
Ready to order? Checkout, where you enter the handover details, starts from the Xenoverse 2 modded save page; the price is $50 for either PlayStation console.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I download the modded save myself?
No. The store team signs in with the handover details you provide at checkout and transfers the save directly to your profile, then confirms when it is done.
How long does the transfer take?
The product page does not state a fixed time. You are contacted by email after purchase and receive a confirmation when the transfer is complete; ask support for current timings if you need a date.
Will the transfer keep my existing characters?
Plan on it replacing them. The delivered save is a complete eight-character file and Xenoverse 2 has no way to merge saves. Back up your own save first if you want to keep it.
Can I move the save from PS4 to PS5 later?
Bandai Namco announced an official save transfer from the PS4 version to the PS5 version. It is simpler to upgrade first and order the modded save for the version you will keep playing.
Can the save be transferred to Xbox or PC?
No. The listing says the product works on PS4 and PS5 and is not available for PC or Xbox.
