There are two separate safety questions with any modded save. One is what Bandai Namco might do about modded characters online, which our ban risk guide covers. The other comes first: buying a save means letting someone into your PlayStation account, so you need to know what a proper handover looks like and how to spot a seller who is after your account rather than your order. This post is about that second question.
What a legitimate handover involves
Here is what our own process asks of you, so you have a baseline to compare other sellers against. The order form collects the handover details for your PS4 or PS5 account; someone from the store uses them to sign in, puts the save onto your profile and tells you when the job is finished. Order updates come by email, and at checkout you can also leave social media usernames or a text-only number if you would rather be reached that way.
That method needs your PlayStation Network sign-in, and nothing beyond it. A service that applies a save never needs the password to your email account, your card numbers, your bank details or your account recovery information. If anyone asks for those, stop.
Prepare your account before ordering
- Use a password you use nowhere else. If your PSN password is shared with your email or other services, change it to a unique one before handing it over, so changing it again afterwards closes the door completely.
- Plan for two-step verification. If 2-step verification is on, sign-ins will ask for a code. Agree a time with support to pass it on, or use one of the backup codes PlayStation lets you generate, rather than switching protection off for days.
- Decide what to do about payment methods. If saved cards or wallet funds on the account worry you, remove the cards before the handover or turn on the option that requires a password at checkout.
- Back up your current save. The delivered save is a complete roster that replaces the Xenoverse 2 progress on the account, so keep a copy of anything you want to return to.
- Stay off the game during delivery. Avoid launching Xenoverse 2 while the order is in progress so nothing on your side overwrites the new data.

Scam red flags
| Red flag | What a normal order looks like |
|---|---|
| Asks for your email password or card details | Only the PSN sign-in needed to apply the save |
| "Free" save download from a forum or video comment | A paid order with a record, a contact channel and a stated delivery method |
| Payment only by gift card codes sent in a direct message | A normal checkout with an order confirmation |
| "Ban proof" or "100% undetectable" promises | Measured wording about online risk |
| PlayStation save offered for Xbox or PC | Platforms stated clearly; ours is PS4 and PS5 only |
| Contents described vaguely | A line-by-line list of what the save contains |
| Pressure to act within minutes | Time to ask questions before checkout |
Free downloads deserve a special mention. A file of unknown origin can be built for an old patch, can be missing data for DLC you own, and gives you nobody to contact if it goes wrong. A PlayStation save made on someone else's account also cannot simply be copied onto yours from a USB stick, which is why a "just download this" offer can turn into a request for your account or your money once you are interested.
After delivery
- Load Xenoverse 2 and check the eight characters, the Zeni balance and the items against the product listing.
- Change your PSN password straight away, and turn 2-step verification back on if you paused it.
- Look through your transaction history on the account for anything you do not recognise.
- If anything looks wrong, contact support with your order details before you play further.

If something feels wrong
Act quickly and in the right order. If the problem is with the save itself, such as missing characters or the wrong console version, contact the store with your order details and do not start overwriting anything. If the problem is with the account, for example a sign-in you did not expect, a changed email address or purchases you did not make, change your password at once, sign out of other sessions where your account settings allow it, and contact PlayStation Support, because only Sony can lock down or restore a PSN account. Those steps are the same whoever you bought from, and they work best when you take them within minutes rather than days.
Checking a seller, including us
Before you hand over access to anyone, look for evidence that they deliver. Read customer feedback on the reviews page, check the FAQ for how orders and support work, and send a question through the contact page to see how quickly and clearly you get an answer. A seller who is vague before you pay rarely becomes clearer afterwards. It is also worth reading the transfer guide so you know each step of the delivery in advance.
Once you are happy with how the handover works, the Xenoverse 2 modded save page spells out every item in the $50 package along with its delivery notes.
Frequently Asked Questions
What details do I need to give for delivery?
The PS4 or PS5 account handover details requested at checkout, which the team uses to sign in and transfer the save to your profile. You never need to share your email password, card numbers or bank details.
How do I handle 2-step verification?
Either agree a time with support so you can pass on the sign-in code, or use one of the backup codes PlayStation lets you create. Switch protection back on and change your password once delivery is confirmed.
Are free Xenoverse 2 modded save downloads safe?
They carry real risks: unknown patch versions, missing DLC data, and no one to contact if something breaks. Some "free" offers are simply a route to asking for your account or payment, so treat them with suspicion.
Should I change my password after delivery?
Yes. Change your PSN password as soon as you receive the delivery confirmation and check your transaction history. It is standard practice after any account handover.
Will I lose my current Xenoverse 2 progress?
Expect the delivered save to replace it, because it is a complete eight-character file. Back up anything you want to keep and mention it to support before you order.
