You redeem AFK Journey codes in-game under Settings, then the Others tab, then Promo Code, and the rewards are usually diamonds, gold and Invite Letters. As of November 2026 the public code trackers disagree about which codes still work, so this page explains how to redeem, which codes are confirmed expired, where genuine codes are published, and how to earn the same rewards without waiting for a new one.
We checked this against the official AFK Journey news posts on the Farlight website, the Pocket Tactics and PCGamesN code pages (both last updated October 1, 2026) and Prydwen's guides in November 2026.
How to Redeem a Code, Step by Step
You cannot redeem anything until you have finished the opening tutorial, which Pocket Tactics estimates takes five to ten minutes. After that, the path is the same on Android, iOS and the PC client:

- Open the game and wait until you have control of your character.
- Tap your profile picture (Pocket Tactics describes it as the three-line menu in the bottom-right corner on some layouts).
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Switch to the Others tab on the right side of the screen.
- Under Account Services, tap Promo Code.
- Type or paste the code and tap the check mark to confirm.
Official codes mix upper and lower case, for example the developer's own codes include strings like Rye60YMmfg7f, so copy them exactly rather than retyping them in capitals.
Why We Are Not Listing Active Codes Today
Most code pages present a neat list of working codes. We checked the two most established ones in early November 2026 and found that they contradict each other. PCGamesN's page, last updated October 1, 2026, still lists ZC1JJ3UU0N as active. Pocket Tactics, updated the same day, lists that very code in its expired section. When two trackers updated on the same date cannot agree, neither list can be treated as confirmed.
Since we cannot test codes on a live account for you, we are not going to present any code as working. That may feel less convenient, but it saves you from typing in a dead string and wondering whether you made a mistake. Instead, the next sections show where real codes appear the moment they go live, and how long they typically last, so you can grab them while they still work.
A good rule: if a code page does not show a recent update date, or lists a code without the rewards it gives, assume it is stale. Trackers often keep old codes on the active list for weeks after they expire.
Where Official Codes Actually Come From
The most reliable codes are the ones the developer posts itself, because they come with an explicit expiry time. Two recent examples show the pattern clearly, and both are now expired.

- The April 29, 2026 Talk with Designers post on the official site ended with the gift code Rye60YMmfg7f, worth 10 Hero Invite Letters and 50,000 gold, valid until May 28 at 15:59 UTC.
- The September 2026 designer talk for the Veil of Memories season included a server-wide apology code worth 3,000 diamonds, valid only until October 2, 2026.
Both lasted roughly a month. That is the practical lesson: official codes are generous but short-lived, so the people who benefit are the ones watching the official channels. Pocket Tactics lists those channels as the AFK Journey accounts on Facebook, YouTube, X, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok and Discord. PCGamesN adds that codes sometimes appear in YouTube community posts and video descriptions, not just in announcements.
Season launches and anniversaries are the busiest times. Version updates, collaborations and seasonal events tend to bring a code with them, so check the official channels in the first days after each major patch. The next scheduled content in the current season is a new Lightbearer hero on November 13, according to the official 1.8.2 notes, so that week is worth watching.
Codes That Have Already Expired
These codes appear in the expired lists of both Pocket Tactics and PCGamesN, or were published by the developer with an expiry date that has passed. Entering them will not give you anything, so skip them if you see them on an older page:
- CROWNOFASHES and BOUNDFORSAVANNAH
- AFKJ10 (10 summon tickets when it was live)
- ThornsofDevotion, AFKJSEASONGIFT2025 and NEWSTORYBEGINS (older season codes)
- JOURNEY2YRS, CheerforAnniv and LILITHHAPPY2026 (anniversary codes)
- AFKHomestead0130 (a Homestead promotion code)
- LILITH13TH, AFKJCOMMUNITY and PLAYAFKJOURNEY (Pocket Tactics expired list)
- Rye60YMmfg7f and the September 2026 apology code (official, expired May 28 and October 2, 2026)
If a code you found is not on this list and the game rejects it, it has most likely expired as well. The game does not tell you when a code was retired, only that it is invalid.
Common Reasons a Code Fails
When the Promo Code box rejects a string, the cause is almost always one of a handful of things. Work through them in order before assuming the code is dead.
- Tutorial not finished. The Settings route is not available until the opening tutorial is done.
- Wrong case. Mixed-case codes such as the developer's own gift codes have to be entered exactly as written.
- Extra characters. Copying from a web page can add a trailing space. Paste into a notes app first if you keep getting errors.
- Expired. Official codes in 2026 have run for around a month. Anything from an earlier season is almost certainly gone.
- Wrong account. If you play on more than one server, make sure you are logged in to the character you actually want the rewards on before you redeem.
If none of those explain it, stop retrying and check the date the code was posted. A code shared in a comment thread or video description weeks ago has usually run out, and repeated attempts will not change the result. It is quicker to look for a fresh code on the official channels than to troubleshoot an old one.
What a Code Is Actually Worth
It helps to translate code rewards into pulls, because that is what most players spend them on. Prydwen lists a single pull on the All-Hero Recruitment banner at 300 diamonds and a ten-pull at 2,700, and Invite Letters can be used on that same banner in place of diamonds. Seen that way, the developer's April 2026 code of 10 Hero Invite Letters was worth one full ten-pull, and the 3,000-diamond apology code in September covered a ten-pull with a little left over.
That is useful but small. The same banner's S-Level rate is 2.05 percent, and its pity starts at 10 pulls and stops increasing at 60. One ten-pull from a code will rarely change your roster on its own. Where codes do add up is early on: the Wishlist on the All-Hero Recruitment banner unlocks after 30 pulls, so a few code ten-pulls during your first days help you reach it sooner and start steering pulls toward the heroes you want.
For that reason, redeem every code you can, but plan your account around the steady income sources in the next section rather than around codes.
Earning the Same Rewards Without Codes
Codes are a bonus, not a meaningful income. The game hands out far more diamonds and Invite Letters through normal play, and a few sources are easy to overlook.
- Season rewards. The official description of the Veil of Memories season, which opened September 23, 2026, advertises more than 500 pulls and over 100,000 diamonds in rewards across the season.
- AFK Stages. Prydwen notes that clearing stages regularly awards Invite Letters and diamonds, which is why stage progress comes before story exploration.
- Affinity. Plants you pick up in the world raise Affinity. According to Prydwen, 100 Affinity earns 50 diamonds, 700 Affinity earns another 50, and 1,300 Affinity adds an Invite Letter, so spreading plants across heroes is worth more than dumping them on one.
- Dream Realm first kills. Each first clear of a boss difficulty gives Invite Letters.
- Homestead. Developing your Homestead can earn diamonds, Invite Letters and Stellar Crystals, as the developer outlined when it raised the building cap in version 1.5.1.
Where those diamonds go matters just as much. Prydwen points out that a single pull on the All-Hero Recruitment banner costs 300 diamonds while a ten-pull costs 2,700, so never do single pulls with diamonds. If you are new, our beginner guide covers the full early resource plan, and our current tier list helps you decide which heroes those pulls should target. Homestead players can also read our Homestead guide for the reward side of base building, and anyone stacking duplicate heroes should see our ascension costs breakdown.
Skipping the Slow Build
Codes add a few hundred diamonds at a time, which is a small fraction of what a mature roster needs. Some players prefer to begin with an account that already has a larger collection, and the AFK Journey section of our store carries account listings from sellers that change from day to day. Be aware that Farlight's Terms of Service say virtual items and virtual currency cannot be sold or transferred, so weigh that before deciding.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I enter codes in AFK Journey?
Open your profile or menu, tap the gear icon for Settings, go to the Others tab and tap Promo Code under Account Services. Paste the code and confirm with the check mark.
Why does my code say it is invalid?
Most often the code has expired, was typed with the wrong capitalization, or picked up an extra space when copied. Official codes in 2026 have lasted about a month.
Are there any working codes in November 2026?
Code trackers disagree, and we could not confirm any as active. The safest way to catch a working code is to follow the official AFK Journey Discord, YouTube and social accounts and redeem new codes as soon as they are posted.
Can I redeem codes on the PC version?
Yes. Pocket Tactics lists the same Settings, Others and Promo Code path for Android, iOS and PC.
How long do official codes last?
The two most recent developer codes we found ran for about a month each: one expired on May 28, 2026 and the other on October 2, 2026.
What is the best way to get free diamonds?
Season rewards, AFK Stage clears, Affinity milestones, Dream Realm first kills and Homestead progress give far more than codes. Save diamonds for ten-pulls rather than single pulls.
