The best raid attackers in Pokémon GO as of November 2026 are Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y, which sit alone in the top SS tier of Pokémon GO Hub's attacker ranking, followed by Mega Rayquaza, Shadow Mewtwo and Eternatus. Below that elite group, raids are won by type-specific Megas and Shadow Pokémon, so the smartest roster is a strong pick for each type rather than one perfect Pokémon. This page breaks down the overall leaders, the best option per type, cheaper non-legendary picks, and the raids on this month's calendar where they matter.
We built this from Pokémon GO Hub's raid attacker database (updated November 6, 2026), Dittobase's eDPS rankings by type, Leek Duck's current raid boss list and the official Pokémon GO event announcements for November 2026.
How "Best Attacker" Is Actually Measured
Rankings differ between sites because they answer slightly different questions, so it helps to know what the numbers mean before you spend Stardust. GO Hub's method looks at every raid boss in its database, scores the top 50 counters against each one by effective damage per second, and expresses each score relative to the best counter for that boss. Those scores are added up and weighted by raid difficulty, and the total sets the rank and tier.

In other words, a Pokémon ranks high either because it is the very best against many bosses or because it is near the top against almost everything. GO Hub is clear that its results span more than the current raid rotation and do not promise the best pick against every individual boss. Dittobase ranks by eDPS and also shows total damage output, which rewards bulk a little more. When the two sites agree, as they do on the Mewtwo Megas, you can trust the pick.
The practical takeaway: overall rankings tell you where long-term resources should go, but the counter list for a specific boss tells you who to bring today. Use both.
The Overall Top Tier Right Now
The table shows the top 12 from GO Hub's default ranking as of its November 6, 2026 update, with their types and tiers. Megas and Primals fill most of the list, and the only non-Mega names in the top 10 are Shadow Mewtwo, Eternatus, Black Kyurem, Dawn Wings Necrozma, Crowned Sword Zacian and Shadow Salamence.
| Rank | Pokémon | Type | Tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mega Mewtwo X | Psychic / Fighting | SS |
| 2 | Mega Mewtwo Y | Psychic | SS |
| 3 | Mega Rayquaza | Dragon / Flying | S |
| 4 | Shadow Mewtwo | Psychic | A |
| 5 | Eternatus | Poison / Dragon | A |
| 6 | Black Kyurem | Dragon / Ice | B |
| 7 | Dawn Wings Necrozma | Psychic / Ghost | B |
| 8 | Crowned Sword Zacian | Fairy / Steel | B |
| 9 | Shadow Salamence | Dragon / Flying | B |
| 10 | Mega Blaziken | Fire / Fighting | B |
| 11 | White Kyurem | Dragon / Ice | B |
| 12 | Primal Groudon | Ground / Fire | B |
Dittobase lists the movesets that make these work. Mega Mewtwo Y runs Psycho Cut with Future Sight+, Mega Mewtwo X uses Psycho Cut with Dynamic Punch+, Mega Rayquaza wants Dragon Tail and Dragon Ascent, and Eternatus is built around Dragon Tail and Dynamax Cannon. A top Pokémon with the wrong Charged Attack can fall several tiers, so check moves before you power anything up.
The Best Pick for Each Type
Most raid bosses are weak to two or three types, so a deep bench of type specialists beats a single star. Here is Dittobase's number one attacker for each type, with the runner-up where it is a common alternative.

- Psychic: Mega Mewtwo Y, then Mega Mewtwo X and Shadow Mewtwo.
- Fighting: Mega Mewtwo X, then Mega Lucario and Mega Blaziken.
- Dragon: Eternatus, then Mega Rayquaza and Mega Dragonite.
- Ice: White Kyurem, then Black Kyurem.
- Fire: Mega Delphox, then Mega Charizard Y and Mega Blaziken.
- Water: Primal Kyogre, then Mega Greninja.
- Ground: Primal Groudon, then Mega Garchomp and Shadow Groudon.
- Electric: Mega Raichu Y, then Mega Manectric.
- Grass: Mega Chesnaught, then Mega Sceptile and Kartana.
- Rock: Mega Diancie, then Shadow Rhyperior and Mega Tyranitar.
- Ghost: Mega Chandelure, then Dawn Wings Necrozma.
- Dark: Mega Houndoom, then Mega Tyranitar and Shadow Darkrai.
- Steel: Crowned Sword Zacian, then Crowned Shield Zamazenta and Dusk Mane Necrozma.
- Fairy: Mega Gardevoir, then Crowned Sword Zacian and Shadow Gardevoir.
- Flying: Mega Rayquaza, then Mega Staraptor.
- Poison, Bug and Normal: Mega Victreebel, Mega Heracross and Shadow Regigigas respectively.
Notice how many of these are Megas. In practice, most players build one Mega per common weakness and fill the rest of the team with Shadows or legendaries of the same type, because Mega Energy is slow to collect for every species.
Non-Legendary Picks You Can Actually Build
Legendary attackers usually take many raids worth of Candy and Candy XL to power up. If you want results this season without that grind, these non-legendary names all appear inside GO Hub's top 30, which is the territory where a raid group will notice the difference:
- Shadow Salamence (rank 9) and Shadow Garchomp (rank 25) for Dragon damage.
- Shadow Rhyperior (rank 19) and Shadow Tyranitar (rank 26) for Rock.
- Mega Blaziken (rank 10) and Mega Lucario (rank 14) for Fighting.
- Mega Gardevoir (rank 18) for Fairy and Psychic, and Mega Gengar (rank 27) for Ghost.
- Mega Chandelure (rank 16), one of the newest Megas, for Ghost and Fire.
There is also a timely addition. The November 21 Community Day features Pawniard, and evolving Bisharp into Kingambit during the event or up to four hours after gives it Kowtow Cleave, a Charged Attack with 85 power in Gyms and raids. A Kingambit with that move is a strong Dark-type option you can build from a single afternoon of play. Our Pokémon GO Community Day guide covers the special evolution rule for that day as well.
Raids on the Calendar This Month
Here is what is confirmed for November 2026 from official posts and Leek Duck's raid page. Use these dates to decide which attackers to power up first.
- November 6 to 8: Altered Forme Giratina in five-star raids and Mega Sableye in Mega Raids, according to Leek Duck.
- November 9 to 13 (Into the Wild): Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta in five-star raids, with Raid Hours from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. for Zacian on November 9 and Zamazenta on November 10. A Global Challenge can make Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash stronger. The Remote Raid limit rises to 30 from November 9 to 13, with no limit November 14 to 15.
- November 28 (Clefable Super Mega Raid Day): Mega Clefable debuts in Super Mega Raids from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. It can reach Super Max, the first Mega Level above Max, and its Moonblast+ hits for 160 power in raids.
The Clefable day deserves a closer look because it changes how one Mega scales. A Global Challenge runs from November 27 at 5:00 p.m. PST to November 28 at 8:00 p.m. PST, and the more raid tiers the community completes, the bigger the reward. Those bonuses then apply from November 30 to December 13: Moonblast+ gets extra base power at Mega Level 1 or higher (outside GO Battle League), and a Super Max Mega Clefable gets a combat power boost scaled to the tiers completed. Any Clefable you catch from a Super Mega Raid starts at Mega Level 1, so a few raids that afternoon put you on the path immediately.
The optional event ticket adds up to 14 Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs, a better chance at Rare Candy XL from raids, and 5,000 extra XP and Stardust from Super Mega Raids during the three-hour window. Even without it, spinning Gym Photo Discs gives up to six free Raid Passes that day. If Mega Gardevoir already covers your Fairy slot, treat Clefable as a long-term project whose value depends on how far the Global Challenge goes.
Remote raiding has a daily cap: official posts describe the normal limit as 10 per day, raised for special events. If you raid heavily on event days, the XP adds up fast too; our fast leveling guide explains how raid XP fits into the climb to level 80.
Building the Team Without Wasting Stardust
Stardust is the real limit for most players, so spend it in this order:
- Pick one Mega per weakness you face most often and get its Mega Energy up first; it carries the whole group.
- Power up Shadow attackers before regular versions of the same species, since the Shadow forms rank higher in both databases.
- Prioritize Attack. In the CP formula, Attack is the only stat not under a square root, which is why it shapes damage most. Our guide to reading IVs shows how to filter for high Attack quickly.
- Fix movesets before levels. An Elite TM or a Community Day move can matter more than five levels of power-ups.
- Build depth in your main types. A full team of one strong type is far easier to manage mid-battle than a mixed bag, and it lets you swap in quickly after a faint.
Dynamax Max Battles use a separate system, with their own currency and rules, so do not assume your raid team transfers over. Our Dynamax and Max Battles guide covers what matters there.
Want a Roster That Is Already Built?
Building a full bench of Megas and Shadows takes months of raids and Stardust. Some players look at the account listings on our Pokémon GO page, posted by third-party sellers, where the inventory changes daily. Weigh the rules before anything else: the Scopely Explore Terms of Service name selling or trading accounts as a form of cheating.
If you prefer to grind it out, the Into the Wild raids and the Clefable Super Mega Raid Day are the two best chances this month to add top-tier attackers.
