8 Ball Pool Elite Membership: Perks, Cost and Cancelling

The 8 Ball Pool Elite membership is a weekly, auto-renewing subscription on the mobile game that bundles lounge table access, daily coins and cash, a temporary VIP upgrade and two subscription-only legendary cues. It is not the same thing as the Elite Pass, which is a one-season upgrade to the Pool Pass, and mixing the two up is the most common reason players feel short-changed after paying.

We checked this against Miniclip's own help center articles on the Pro Subscription, VIP Points, Trophies and the Pool Pass, the US App Store listing, and the fan-run 8 Ball Pool Fandom wiki in November 2026.

What Elite Membership Actually Is (and What It Is Not)

Miniclip's help center files the subscription under the name "Pro Subscription", while the in-game store and the community call the top tier "Elite" or "Go Elite". The fan wiki describes three weekly memberships sold side by side: Lounge, Perks and Elite, with Elite combining the other two. The App Store listing for the game shows a weekly premium membership among its in-app purchases, which matches the idea of a week-by-week plan rather than a one-off unlock.

The key point is that membership is a subscription. You pay for a period, the benefits apply during that period, and most of them disappear when it ends. That is very different from buying a cue outright or buying coins, where the item stays on your account. It is also different from the Elite Pass, which belongs to a single Pool Pass season and has its own perks that we cover in a section below.

The feature lives on the mobile apps. Miniclip's getting-started guide says the Pool Pass and Pro Membership are only available on the mobile versions of the game, so a player who only uses the browser version at 8ballpool.com will not see the subscription at all.

Lounge, Perks and Elite: The Three Weekly Tiers

The Fandom wiki's membership page lists what each tier includes. Prices on that page are US list prices recorded by fans, and app store prices vary by country and change over time, so treat them as a guide and confirm the figure in your own store before you tap subscribe.

  • Lounge (listed at $2.99 per week): unlimited access to the Lounge tables, which the wiki names as Cancun Beach Club, Monte Carlo Salon, Cannes Theater and Doha Skybar, plus access to the Elite Shop. Venice Ballroom is not included at this tier.
  • Perks (listed at $6.99 per week): daily coins for every day you log in, weekly coins after each subscription payment, an instant VIP tier upgrade, the Jupiter and Vulcan legendary cues while subscribed, and a Trophy Saver perk so you do not lose trophies when you lose a 1 on 1 match.
  • Elite (listed at $7.99 per week): everything from Lounge and Perks combined, unlimited Elite Shop access, and access to the Venice Ballroom Elite table.

The Elite Shop sells items for Gems, according to the same wiki page, and some of its items are locked behind the full Elite tier with a "Go Elite to unlock!" label. The wiki also notes that the daily and weekly coin amounts grow as your trophy count rises, so a player deep into the trophy tables gets more from the coin perk than a newer account does.

The US App Store listing, as of November 2026, shows a weekly premium membership at $7.99, which lines up with the Elite price on the wiki. If your store shows a different figure, your local price is the one that applies.

Pro Subscription Perks Miniclip Confirms

Fan wikis are useful, but the help center is the source Miniclip stands behind, so here is what its Pro Subscription article spells out in plain terms. Pro users receive fixed amounts of Coins and Cash every day, but only for days they actually log in. Skip a whole day and that day's payout is gone.

  • Instant VIP upgrade: subscribing lifts your VIP level to at least Emerald, or keeps it higher if you were already above Emerald. When the subscription ends, your VIP level returns to what it was before.
  • Exclusive cues: Pro members get access to subscription-exclusive cues without collecting pieces from Legendary boxes. The Cue Collection Power FAQ names them as the Vulcan and Jupiter cues, and those cues go away once the subscription expires.
  • Two extra tiers: two subscriber tiers appear in the Play 1 on 1 tier selection menu. The article title names them as the Venice and Monte Carlo tables, and the Trophies FAQ refers to them as Monte Carlo Salon and Venice Ballroom.
  • Free trial: Miniclip says a three-day free trial may be offered. If you are not eligible, for example because you used it before, you are charged right away.

The VIP system matters here because VIP level multiplies the coins and cash shown in the shop and in minigame coin prizes. The VIP Points article lists the bands as Bronze, Silver, Gold, Emerald, Diamond and Black Diamond, with Emerald covering up to 134,999 points. A player sitting at Silver who subscribes jumps straight to Emerald for as long as the plan runs, which is a large temporary boost to anything VIP-multiplied.

Elite Membership vs the Elite Pass

The Elite Pass sits on top of the Pool Pass and lasts for one season, not one week. Miniclip's Pool Pass guide lists its perks as extra Showdown Tickets and rewards, instantly unlocked Premium season rewards, 2,000 bonus Pool Points, three times faster Victory Box unlocks that start immediately after purchase, and three Legendary Surprise Boxes. It can be bought in the app or through the official web shop.

So the practical difference is this:

  • Membership is about tables, daily currency, VIP level and two loaned cues. It renews every week until you cancel.
  • The Elite Pass is about season rewards: cue pieces, frames, avatars, emotes and Showdown tickets on the current Pool Pass track. Elite-only items appear in season news too: for the Ocean Drive Heist season (4 to 25 November 2026), Miniclip lists an Iced Animated Frame as an Elite Pool Pass exclusive.

If you mainly want the cosmetics and pieces from a season, our breakdown of how the Pool Pass and its premium lanes work is the better starting point. If you mainly want access to the lounge tables and a daily coin drip, the membership is the product you are looking at.

What Happens When You Cancel

Cancelling is done through the app store that billed you, not inside the game. Miniclip's help articles point Android players to the Subscriptions section of Google Play and iPhone players to the Subscriptions list under their Apple ID in device Settings. The steps look like this:

  1. On Android, open the Google Play Store, make sure you are signed in to the Google account that pays for the plan, open Subscriptions and tap Cancel subscription on 8 Ball Pool.
  2. On iOS, open Settings, tap your Apple ID, open Subscriptions, select 8 Ball Pool and confirm the cancellation.
  3. Do this at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Miniclip states that if auto-renew is not turned off by then, you will be charged for the next period.

Here is what you keep and what you lose once the plan lapses, based on Miniclip's own articles:

  • Lost: the VIP boost (your level reverts), the Vulcan and Jupiter cues, and the Collection Power those two cues and their upgrades gave you. Resubscribing restores that Collection Power.
  • Kept: trophies you won on Monte Carlo Salon and Venice Ballroom. You simply cannot win more on those tables until you subscribe again.
  • Possible demotion: the VIP article lists not continuing a subscription that moved you up a VIP level as one of the exceptions where your VIP level can drop.

A trial also converts automatically. Miniclip notes that a pending charge may appear 24 hours before the trial ends, though the actual charge lands once the three days are up, and starting a new subscription during a trial ends the remaining trial time.

Is It Worth Paying For? A Practical Checklist

Whether a weekly plan pays off depends almost entirely on how often you open the game. Because daily coins and cash only arrive on days you log in, the value collapses if you play twice a week. Ask yourself these questions before you subscribe:

  • Do you play every day? If yes, the daily currency and the faster table access add up. If not, a one-off Pool Pass purchase usually gives more for the money.
  • Do you want the lounge tables specifically? They are the main thing you cannot get any other way. If you are happy on the standard city tables, that perk is wasted.
  • Are you chasing VIP-multiplied offers this week? The temporary jump to Emerald raises what shop bundles and minigame coin prizes pay out while it lasts.
  • Do you rely on the Vulcan or Jupiter cue? Building your game around a cue you only rent is risky, because it vanishes the moment you stop paying.

It also helps to know where the free alternatives are. The daily Spin and Win, the free daily Lucky Shot, friend gifts and the web shop's free Daily Reward all give something without a subscription, and our guide to every free daily reward in the game shows how much you can collect before paying for anything. Weekly prize money is another route, which is why it is worth reading how the league ladder pays out each week before you decide the coin perk is the only way to grow your balance.

Finally, keep your receipts. Billing problems on a subscription go to the store that charged you first, and anything game-side goes through Miniclip's in-game Help and Support form. Our guide to reaching Miniclip support explains which details to include so your ticket is not bounced back.

Starting With an Established Account

Some players would rather begin with a higher-level profile that already has coins and cues instead of building one week by week. The store's 8 Ball Pool section carries account listings from third-party sellers, and its 8 Ball Pool accounts page describes high-level and high-coin profiles, rare and legendary cues and ready-to-play starters, with each listing showing its level, coins and cues before you open it.

Before you consider that route, know where the publisher stands: Miniclip's Terms and Conditions state that players are strictly prohibited from giving, selling or otherwise transferring an account or any Virtual Items to another person, and its help center lists account ownership changes among the reasons an account can be suspended. Membership benefits are also tied to the store account that pays for them, so a subscription never moves with a profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is Elite membership in 8 Ball Pool?

The US App Store lists a weekly premium membership at $7.99 as of November 2026, and the fan wiki lists Elite at the same weekly price. Prices differ by country, so check the figure your own store shows before subscribing.

Is Elite membership the same as the Elite Pass?

No. Membership is a weekly subscription for tables, daily currency, a VIP boost and two cues. The Elite Pass is a one-season upgrade to the Pool Pass with bonus Pool Points, Showdown tickets, faster Victory Box unlocks and three Legendary Surprise Boxes.

Do I keep the Vulcan and Jupiter cues after cancelling?

No. Miniclip says the subscription-exclusive cues go away when the plan expires, along with the Collection Power they gave you. Subscribing again restores both.

Can I get Elite membership on the web version?

No. It is a mobile-only feature, so you subscribe and use it through the Android or iOS app rather than the browser game.

Why did my VIP level drop after my membership ended?

The subscription lifts you to at least Emerald only while it is active. When it ends, Miniclip returns your VIP level to what it was before you subscribed.

Are free Elite membership offers real?

Treat them as scams. Miniclip's support channels article warns about people offering free rewards in exchange for login details, and says its staff will never ask for your password or verification codes.
