The 8 Ball Pool Pool Pass is a seasonal reward track on the mobile game: you earn Pool Points by winning matches and finishing Daily Missions, and each rank unlocks a reward on a free lane and a paid Premium lane. As of November 2026 the active season is Ocean Drive Heist, which runs from 4 to 25 November, so anything you want from this track needs to be earned and collected inside that window.
We checked this against Miniclip's help center guides to the Pool Pass and Elite Pass, Season Showdown and Flashback Seasons, the official 8ballpool.com season announcements for September to November 2026, and the US App Store listing.
How the Pool Pass Works
Miniclip describes the pass as two lanes running side by side. The top lane is the free Pool Pass, where you claim rewards as you rank up by winning games. The bottom lane is the Premium Pool Pass, with its own exclusive prizes. You track both from the Pool Pass button in the main menu, just below your Pool Cash and Coins.

You do not have to claim each reward the moment you unlock it. Miniclip says unclaimed rewards stay available until the season ends, and you collect them by opening the Pool Pass menu and tapping Collect. Even after a season closes you can still claim anything you unlocked but did not collect, though you cannot unlock anything new on that track.
The pass is a mobile feature. Miniclip's guide marks it as available only on 8 Ball Pool Mobile, and its getting-started article lists the Pool Pass among the features missing from the browser version. If you split your time between phone and web, only your mobile matches move the pass.
Earning Pool Points Faster
Pool Points come from several kinds of play, and Miniclip lists 1v1 tables, tournaments, 9 Ball tables and Daily Missions as the main sources. Before you enter a match, the game shows how many Pool Points that table can earn, so it is worth glancing at that number instead of always picking the same table.
- Win on the right tables. Most wins count, but Miniclip excludes Friendly Matches, Rematches, repeated opponents and All In games from Pool Points.
- Clear Daily Missions. Tap the Missions button to see the current challenges. They pay bonus points on top of your match wins.
- Watch for Rush events. Time-limited events such as Pool Points Rush award bonus points faster for a short window.
- Use Flashback weeks. During Flashback Seasons, Miniclip boosts Pool Points on all tables and on Daily Missions.
The exclusions matter more than people think. If you and a friend trade wins over and over in friendly games, none of it moves your pass. Our guide to collecting every free daily reward pairs well with this, because the daily routine and the mission list overlap almost completely.
Season Lengths and the 2026 Calendar
Every season shows its own timer in the Pool Pass menu, and Miniclip says the length varies: its guide gives standard seasons as an example at 4 weeks and Flashback Seasons at 7 days. In practice, the standard seasons in autumn 2026 have run for three weeks, so always trust the in-game timer over a rule of thumb.

| Season | Dates (2026) | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Grandmaster's Gambit | Sept 9 to Sept 30 | Standard |
| Flashback: Crimson Moon | Sept 30 to Oct 7 | Flashback (one week) |
| Moonlight Circus | Oct 7 to Oct 28 | Standard |
| Flashback: Dia de los Muertos | Oct 28 to Nov 4 | Flashback (one week) |
| Ocean Drive Heist | Nov 4 to Nov 25 | Standard (current) |
Season length changes how you should pace yourself. A simple way to plan a three-week season:
- Week one: clear Daily Missions every day and play the tables that show the highest Pool Points for your coin balance. Decide early whether you will buy Premium, since buying later still pays out every rank you have already reached.
- Week two: check how many ranks remain against the days left on the timer. If you are behind, focus on missions and any Rush event rather than long sessions on low-value tables.
- Final week: finish the last ranks, start feeding the Vault if you have completed the pass, and save Showdown Tickets for the leaderboard window. Collect everything before the rollover.
For a one-week Flashback season, compress all of that into a few days and lean on the boosted Pool Points Miniclip applies to every table during those weeks.
The three Halloween-period seasons were part of a five-week, three-season event that Miniclip ran from 30 September to 4 November 2026. For the current Ocean Drive Heist season, Miniclip lists a token shop open until 2 December, a Heist Quest from 16 to 25 November and the Showdown leaderboard from 22 to 25 November.
Free, Premium and Elite: Which Lane to Buy
Everyone gets the free lane. The Premium Pool Pass can be bought at any point in a season, and Miniclip says buying it instantly lets you collect every Premium reward for ranks you have already reached, plus faster Victory Box unlock times for the rest of the season. The US App Store lists the Pool Pass at $4.99 as of November 2026; your local price may differ.
The Elite Pass is the top upgrade. Miniclip's guide lists these perks:
- Extra Showdown Tickets and rewards.
- Season Premium rewards unlocked instantly.
- 2,000 bonus Pool Points to boost your progress.
- Victory Box unlocks three times faster, starting immediately after purchase.
- Three Legendary Surprise Boxes.
Seasons also mark their headline cosmetics clearly. For Ocean Drive Heist, Miniclip names the Heist Frame as the Rank 34 Premium reward and the Iced Animated Frame as an Elite Pool Pass exclusive. The Moonlight Circus season followed the same format with a Circus Frame at Rank 34 Premium and a Hungry Animated Frame for Elite.
If you missed buying Premium during a season, Miniclip offers one last chance to buy that previous Season Pass and claim the rewards you unlocked before it ended. Do not confuse any of these with the weekly subscription: our explainer on Elite membership and its weekly tiers covers that separate product.
The cue rewards on the pass also feed bigger goals. In the Heist collection, the Sunset Strip Cue comes from the free Pool Pass and the Diamond District Cue from Pool Pass Premium, and both add Collection Points. If you are deciding whether a pass cue is worth the push, our guide to evolving and event cues explains how pieces and Collection Power stack up.
Flashback Seasons, the Showdown and the Vault
Flashback Seasons are refreshed versions of earlier Pool Pass seasons. Each one runs for 7 days and includes one new avatar, one new emote, two chat packs, one table sticker and Flashback Boxes holding random cue pieces from earlier Pool Pass seasons. Original cues return with higher level caps, so cues you maxed years ago can be upgraded further. Everyone gets the same reward track whether or not they played the original season.
The Showdown is the competitive finale. Miniclip describes it as a limited-time event in the final week of each season, played on a special table with Showdown Tickets. Each match completed is worth 30 points and each win 100, and top finishers earn a Gold, Silver or Bronze Cup that appears on their profile a few hours after the season ends. Tickets come from unlocking the event, Pool Pass and Elite Pass progress, daily free tickets, Rush events and token exchanges, and they expire when the season ends.
The Vault is what keeps the pass going after you finish it. Once you complete the Pool Pass, further Pool Points unlock Vault rewards such as extra Tickets and boxes on a loop, and its final rank repeats endlessly, which is how dedicated players keep feeding Showdown tickets into the leaderboard race. If you also play for weekly prizes, our guide to league promotion and relegation explains how that separate ladder rewards the same wins.
When the Pass Disappears or Rewards Go Missing
A common scare after an update or reinstall is opening the game and finding no Pool Pass button. Miniclip says this is not a bug: the content is still on your account and only needs a few minutes to load, and playing a match or a minigame triggers the update that makes it display again.
A few other habits prevent lost rewards:
- Link your account to Facebook, Google or Apple. Guest progress lives on the device, and Miniclip cannot recover a lost guest account, pass purchases included.
- Buy multi-step promotions on one device. Miniclip warns that clearing the cache or logging in on another device can reset the progress shown on progressive purchases.
- Collect before the season rollover when you can. Leftover rewards remain claimable, but Showdown Tickets and season tokens have hard deadlines.
Want a Head Start on the Season?
Some players would rather start a season on a profile that already has a deep cue collection and a high level. The store's 8 Ball Pool hub includes account listings from third-party sellers, and its 8 Ball Pool accounts page presents high-level and high-coin profiles, rare and legendary cues and ready-to-play starters, with level, coins and cues stated on every listing.
Keep in mind that Miniclip's Terms and Conditions say accounts and Virtual Items may not be given, sold or otherwise transferred to another person. Pool Pass purchases also stay with the profile that made them, so a season you paid for on one account never carries over to another.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a Pool Pass season last?
It varies. Miniclip gives 4 weeks as an example for standard seasons and 7 days for Flashback Seasons, while the standard seasons in autumn 2026 ran three weeks each. The timer in the Pool Pass menu is the definitive answer.
Can I buy the Premium Pool Pass late in the season?
Yes. Buying it at any time lets you collect all Premium rewards for ranks you have already reached, and there is a last-chance option to buy the previous season's pass after it ends.
Why am I not getting Pool Points?
Friendly Matches, Rematches, games against repeated opponents and All In games do not earn Pool Points, and web matches do not count because the pass is mobile-only.
What does the Elite Pass add over Premium?
Miniclip lists extra Showdown Tickets, 2,000 bonus Pool Points, three times faster Victory Box unlocks, three Legendary Surprise Boxes and instant Premium rewards, plus Elite-exclusive cosmetics each season.
When is the next 8 Ball Pool season?
Ocean Drive Heist runs until 25 November 2026. Miniclip announces each new season on 8ballpool.com and in-game when it starts, so check the news page around that date.
My Pool Pass vanished after an update. Did I lose it?
No. Miniclip says purchased content is not removed; play a match or a minigame and the pass should load back in after a few minutes.
