Each Lords of the Fallen modded save on the store lists "all consumables" and "all upgrade mats" with a stack size beside them: 9,999 on the All Unlocks save and 99,999 on the Complete save. Those two lines quietly do as much work as the Vigor bonus, because nearly every upgrade in the game is gated by a material rather than by money. This post explains what sits in each category and who at Skyrest Bridge turns it into power.
Upgrade materials and who uses them
The game's Upgrade Materials category is short but important. Each item has one job and usually one person who uses it:
- Deralium, in four grades, goes to Gerlinde the blacksmith for weapon, shield and catalyst upgrades. Small Deralium Fragments cover the first steps, Regular Deralium Nuggets reach +5, Large Deralium Shards reach +9 and a Deralium Chunk finishes at +10. Vigor is charged on top.
- Saintly Quintessence goes to Pieta. She upgrades the Sanguinarix, your healing flask, raising both its charges and how much each charge heals.
- Antediluvian Chisels go to Molhu, in Umbral, to upgrade the Umbral Lamp for more Soulflay charges, Umbral Eye sockets and Dread resistance.
- Umbral Scourings also go to Molhu, who trades them for boss weapons and armour once a Remembrance is offered.
- Rebirth Chrysalis is the respec item; take it to Pieta to reset your attributes.
The listings do not break "all upgrade mats" down item by item, so after delivery open the Upgrade Materials tab and see what is there before you plan purchases.
Pieta and the Sanguinarix
One point causes confusion: the Sanguinarix is not a stack you can top up. It is a reusable tool with a set number of charges that refill at Vestiges. The only way to make it stronger is Pieta, the boss-turned-ally who settles at Skyrest Bridge after you defeat her, and she needs Saintly Quintessence to do it.
A full upgrade takes 20 Saintly Quintessence in total and lifts the Sanguinarix from 3 charges at +0 to 9 charges at +10, with each charge healing more than twice its base amount. In a normal run that means hunting down all 20, many hidden behind Umbral Bellies you have to soulflay. With materials in your inventory it becomes one conversation.

The consumables worth knowing
Consumables are everything you use up in the field. A few change how the game plays when you have thousands of them:
- Vestige Seeds plant a checkpoint, a Vestige Seedling, at an Umbral Flowerbed. With plenty in stock, every flowerbed can become a rest point.
- Vigor Moths prevent Vigor loss on death, which matters when you are carrying a modded bank.
- Heavenly Vials fully restore health and mana and cure all status effects.
- Briostones heal over time, and Manastone Clusters restore mana.
- Salts add fire, holy, wither or status damage to a weapon; Wards and Resistance Balms do the defensive version.
- Umbral Vertebrae regenerate Soulflay charges, and the Lucky Paw and Charmed Paw boost item discovery.
Vigor Skulls deserve a mention too. Each one converts into a fixed amount of Vigor when used, from 200 for an Enervated Vigor Skull up to 3,200 for a Replete one. If your stack includes Replete skulls, 9,999 of them alone would be worth roughly 32 million Vigor. Items stay in your inventory when you die, so skulls are a safer way to carry a reserve than raw Vigor.

| Material | Who uses it | What it improves |
|---|---|---|
| Deralium (four grades) | Gerlinde, Skyrest Bridge | Weapons, shields, catalysts up to +10 |
| Saintly Quintessence | Pieta, Skyrest Bridge | Sanguinarix charges and healing (20 for +10) |
| Antediluvian Chisel | Molhu, in Umbral | Umbral Lamp sockets, Soulflay charges, Dread resistance |
| Umbral Scouring | Molhu, after a Remembrance | Boss weapons and armour |
| Rebirth Chrysalis | Pieta, Reset Build | Reallocates your attribute points |
9,999 or 99,999?
On paper the Complete save offers ten times more of everything. In play you will not exhaust 9,999 of any item, so the choice between saves should rest on the other differences: arrows and every tinct on All Unlocks, the bigger Vigor figure on Complete, and which platforms each supports. The Complete breakdown and the All Unlocks breakdown cover those lines.
One honest caution: an unlimited supply of Heavenly Vials and Briostones can make the game far easier than intended. If you want the fights to keep their bite, store the strongest consumables in the Coffer and treat them as a reserve.
If you only want materials
The co-op service sells a $65 armour, weapons and items pack that lists 20 Saintly Quintessence and all weapon upgrade materials, delivered in a co-op session without a login. For the full inventory on your own profile, compare the saves on the Lords of the Fallen hub.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I upgrade the Sanguinarix with consumables?
No. The Sanguinarix only improves through Pieta at Skyrest Bridge, using Saintly Quintessence. A full upgrade to +10 needs 20 of them and gives 9 charges.
Who upgrades weapons after delivery?
Gerlinde, the blacksmith you free in Pilgrim's Perch. She works at Skyrest Bridge and uses Deralium plus Vigor, up to +10 with a Deralium Chunk.
What does Molhu need materials for?
Antediluvian Chisels upgrade the Umbral Lamp, and Umbral Scourings buy boss weapons and armour once you offer him a Remembrance. You can only speak to Molhu while in Umbral.
Are Vigor Moths included?
Vigor Moths are a consumable, and both listings include all consumables. Check your inventory after delivery and keep a few in your quick slots, since they prevent Vigor loss on death.
Is 99,999 better than 9,999 in practice?
Rarely. Neither number runs out in normal play, so choose between the saves on platform, arrows, tincts and Vigor instead.
Why are there four kinds of Deralium?
Each grade covers a band of upgrade levels: Small Fragments for the first steps, Regular Nuggets up to +5, Large Shards up to +9 and a Chunk for +10. Gerlinde asks for the grade that matches the step you are on.
