Lords of the Fallen Boss Order: Every Boss, Area by Area

Lords of the Fallen YouTube thumbnail: Lords of the Fallen - All 34 Boss Fights (No Damage) [4K 60FPS]

The usual boss order in Lords of the Fallen runs Pieta in Skyrest Bridge, the Congregator of Flesh and the Hushed Saint in the Forsaken Fen, the Spurned Progeny in Upper Calrath, the Hollow Crow in the Fief of the Chill Curse, Harrower Dervla in Revelation Depths, Tancred and Reinhold in the Tower of Penance, Judge Cleric in the Empyrean, the Lightreaper outside Bramis Castle and the Sundered Monarch inside it, with Adyr or Elianne waiting at the end depending on your ending. Around those main fights sit more than twenty optional bosses, and the world is open enough that you can shuffle several areas. Below is the full route, area by area, with the optional encounters slotted where you will meet them.

We built this order from the Fextralife game progress route and boss pages, PowerPyx's boss location list and the official Version 2.5 patch notes, cross-checked in November 2026.

How Progression Is Structured

Mournstead is built around a single hub, Skyrest Bridge, and five beacons spread across the map. Each beacon is guarded by a Colossal Sentinel, and the main story asks you to deal with those beacons before the gates of Bramis Castle open. PowerPyx counts 37 boss locations in total: 15 main bosses and 22 optional ones, with a few that only appear in certain endings or after failing a side quest.

Fextralife's route groups the game into three loose acts. The first covers the Defiled Sepulchre through Lower Calrath, the second covers Upper Calrath through Revelation Depths and the Belled Rise, and the third runs from the Path of Devotion to Bramis Castle. Inside each act the order of some areas is flexible, which is why different guides list slightly different sequences. The table below is the order most players will follow on a first run.

Act One: From the Sepulchre to the Forsaken Fen

The tutorial in the Defiled Sepulchre has no boss. Your first real fight comes in the Abandoned Redcopse, where Holy Bulwark Otto guards the path. Right after him the Lightreaper ambushes you on the back of a huge three-headed creature; this first meeting is a short scripted encounter rather than the full fight, and he returns several times later.

Climb the long stairs into Skyrest Bridge and you face Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal, the first main boss. Fire works well here: CI Games' own beginner tips point out that Fire Salts are highly effective against her. Beat her and she becomes the NPC who upgrades your Sanguinarix, which makes this fight a priority rather than something to skip.

Main bosses in this stretch pay out in a consistent way. Pieta, the Congregator of Flesh and later the Spurned Progeny each drop a Vestige Seed and eight Umbral Scourings according to Fextralife's route, and each leaves a Stigma behind that you soulflay in the Umbral for the boss's Remembrance. Those Scourings are the currency Molhu wants for boss gear, so it pays not to spend them on impulse.

Pilgrim's Perch comes next, with Scourged Sister Delyth and Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds. Neither is a main boss, but this area also holds the blacksmith Gerlinde in a cell and the Bowl of Revelations you need before Molhu will trade boss gear. From the end of Pilgrim's Perch you drop into the Forsaken Fen, where the Congregator of Flesh ambushes you when you step onto flimsy wooden platforms. The optional Mendacious Visage hides behind vines in the Umbral, and the Hushed Saint guards the Fen's beacon at the far end.

Act Two: Fitzroy's Gorge to Revelation Depths

Fitzroy's Gorge holds Crimson Rector Percival, the Ruiner on a bridge, and an optional rematch with the Lightreaper in a large open field. PowerPyx marks Percival and these Lightreaper fights as missable, so clear them while you are in the area. From there, Lower Calrath has the Infernal Enchantress, and the stairs down into Upper Calrath trigger the Spurned Progeny, the next main boss.

The Sunless Skein has no boss at all, but it leads into the Cistern, where three Bringers (Silence, Nullity and Stillness) and the cleaver-swinging Skinstealer wait. Defeating the Skinstealer gives you the Drainage Control Key, which matters later for the Winterberry merchant. Upper Calrath's second visit sends you into the Fief of the Chill Curse once Andreas of Ebb has handed over the Fief Key, and there you fight Kinrangr Guardian Folard, Griefbound Rowena and finally the Hollow Crow, the beacon boss whose fight is decided by how fast you clear its summons.

Revelation Depths closes the act with Harrower Dervla, the Pledged Knight, fought together with The Unbroken Promise. Only Dervla has a health bar; the chained entity on the altar throws projectiles and arena-wide shockwaves with clear warning signs, and a second form follows once Dervla falls. This arena also contains the well to Mother's Lull, which becomes important for one ending.

Act Three: The Path to Bramis Castle

Back in Pilgrim's Perch, the Belled Rise holds the Sacred Resonance of Tenacity. The Path of Devotion hides Paladin's Burden, an optional fight tied to the Paladin Isaac questline, and the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers has the Abiding Defenders. None of those are required, but they are on the way.

The Tower of Penance opens with Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho on the bridge and climaxes with Tancred, Master of Castigations, whose second phase turns into Reinhold the Immured. That is the fourth beacon. The Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters adds Abbess Ursula and the Rapturous Huntress of the Dusk, and the Empyrean's beacon is defended by Judge Cleric, the Radiant Sentinel.

The last beacon is in Upper Calrath, on the approach to Bramis Castle, where the Lightreaper finally fights you at full strength. Fextralife notes that this kill drops his Umbral Parasite even if you already beat him in the earlier optional encounters.

Endgame Bosses and Ending-Specific Fights

Spoiler warning: the rest of this section names final bosses. At the castle gates you meet the Iron Wayfarer, and if Damarose the Marked is still alive she can appear in the gatehouse. Inside, the Sundered Monarch waits in the throne room. What happens after him depends on your choices. On the Radiance path you enter the Rhogar realm and fight Adyr, the Bereft Exile; Version 2.5 reworked that encounter into a single humanoid manifestation of the god. On the Umbral path you instead soulflay Pieta at Skyrest Bridge and fight Elianne the Starved. The Inferno path ends without either of those fights.

A few optional bosses only appear if a side quest goes wrong. PowerPyx lists Kukajin, Damarose and the Tortured Prisoner (Sophesia) as fights that trigger after failing their quests, and Andreas of Ebb as a fight tied to his own storyline. Our full endings walkthrough explains which choices lead to which final encounter.

Tips for Getting Through the List

  • Summon help on the first try. Since update 1.7.106 you can beckon NPC helpers from your first attempt at a boss instead of only after dying once.
  • Bring a friend. Shared Progression co-op lets both players keep boss kills; our co-op setup guide walks through the password and progress rules.
  • Collect Remembrances. After a main boss dies, switch to the Umbral and soulflay its Stigma to receive the Remembrance, then trade it with Molhu for that boss's weapons, armor and spells.
  • Keep your weapon current. Boss damage climbs quickly in act two; the weapon upgrade guide shows which Deralium tier you need at each point.
  • Read the damage numbers. CI Games' tips explain that red numbers under a health bar mean critical damage, white means normal damage and gray means the target resists what you are using, a quick way to test salts and spells mid-fight.
  • Look for parasites. If an enemy seems immune to damage, raise the Umbral Lamp; an Umbral Parasite may be shielding it, and siphoning the parasite removes that protection.
  • Chase the trophy if you want it. Defeating every boss unlocks None Shall be Spared, so note the missable fights above before you move on.

The order stays the same in Veteran Mode, but the fights do not. The Version 2.5 notes list higher health and damage for most bosses there, plus new tricks: the Hollow Crow gains a Kinrangr Guardian in its second phase that reduces the damage the Daughter takes, and the Sundered Monarch's spiraling attack spawns blades in five circles instead of three. Plan on more summons and more salts if you go that route.

If the bosses on this list feel overtuned, remember that Veteran Mode is opt-in and that several modifiers change the experience; our explainer on difficulty settings and modifiers covers both directions.

If You Would Rather Skip the Grind

Fighting every boss is the point for many players, but farming the Umbral Scourings and materials for each Remembrance set takes time. The store's Complete modded save applies a save containing all weapons, armor, rings, spells, runes, pendants and Umbral Eyes, 99,999 of each consumable and upgrade material, and a bonus of 30 billion or more Vigor. It works on PS5 and PC only (not PS4 or Xbox), requires that you already own the game, and is delivered by account share, so you provide your login details at checkout.

Other options, including an in-game Vigor drop that needs no account details, are on the store's Lords of the Fallen page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many bosses are in Lords of the Fallen?

PowerPyx counts 37 boss locations: 15 main bosses and 22 optional ones. Some only appear in a specific ending or after a failed side quest, so no single run shows every fight.

Who is the first boss in Lords of the Fallen?

Holy Bulwark Otto in the Abandoned Redcopse is the first boss you meet, followed by a short scripted Lightreaper encounter. Pieta at Skyrest Bridge is the first main boss.

Can you fight the bosses in a different order?

Partly. Several areas within each act can be tackled in a different sequence, and most optional bosses can be skipped, but the beacons and Bramis Castle gate the end of the game.

What is the final boss in Lords of the Fallen?

It depends on the ending. The Sundered Monarch in Bramis Castle comes before every ending, then Adyr closes the Radiance route and Elianne the Starved closes the Umbral route.

Which Lords of the Fallen bosses are missable?

PowerPyx flags the optional Lightreaper fights, Crimson Rector Percival, Adyr, Elianne and the quest-failure bosses Kukajin, Damarose and Sophesia as missable.

How do you get boss weapons in Lords of the Fallen?

Soulflay the Stigma left after a main boss to get its Remembrance, give Molhu the Bowl of Revelations from Pilgrim's Perch, then trade the Remembrance plus Umbral Scourings for the gear.
