The Dark Souls Remastered platinum takes at least three playthroughs, because the Knight's Honor trophy for every rare weapon needs boss souls from more than one cycle. Everything else can be done offline: 41 trophies in total, made up of story progress, two endings, nine covenant discoveries, ten weapon upgrade paths and four collection trophies for weapons and spells. This roadmap covers each group, the missable ones, and the order that keeps the run to three cycles.
We built this from the official Dark Souls Remastered achievement list on Steam, which uses the same names and conditions, and the Fextralife Dark Souls wiki's Trophy and Achievement Guide, covenant and progression pages, checked in November 2026.
The Trophy List at a Glance
The list has 41 entries, and the capstone, The Dark Soul, unlocks when every other one is done. The rest break down into five groups, which is the easiest way to plan the run:

- Progress (17). Enkindle, Estus Flask, Reach Lordran, both Ring the Bell trophies, Reach Anor Londo, Lordvessel, Rite of Kindling, Art of Abysswalking, the four great soul bosses (Seath, the Four Kings, Nito and the Bed of Chaos), Crossbreed Priscilla, Dark Sun Gwyndolin, and the two endings, To Link the Fire and Dark Lord.
- Covenants (9). One for discovering each covenant.
- Weapon upgrades (10). Strongest Weapon plus Crystal, Lightning, Raw, Magic, Enchanted, Divine, Occult, Fire and Chaos.
- Collections (4). Knight's Honor (all rare weapons), Wisdom of a Sage (all sorceries), Bond of a Pyromancer (all pyromancies) and Prayer of a Maiden (all miracles).
- Platinum (1). The Dark Soul.
According to the wiki's trophy guide, no trophy requires online play, though going online can help with the weapon trophies. That matters right now, because FromSoftware's current server suspension covers Dark Souls II and III but does not name Remastered, so this platinum is fully achievable either way.
The Missable Trophies
The wiki flags two kinds of missable trophy on a first run: the covenants and two optional bosses. Neither is permanently missable, since you will play at least two more cycles, but grabbing them early saves a lot of backtracking.
- Crossbreed Priscilla. She waits in the Painted World of Ariamis, which you can only enter with the Peculiar Doll from the Northern Undead Asylum revisit.
- Dark Sun Gwyndolin. His tomb in Anor Londo opens with the Darkmoon Seance Ring from the Catacombs.
- The Darkwraith covenant. You must meet Kaathe in the Abyss before you place the Lordvessel with Frampt, or Kaathe will not offer it on that cycle.
- Path of the Dragon. Ash Lake is hidden off Blighttown's swamp, and many players never find it.
For the rest of the covenants, the good news is that each trophy pops when the game offers you the choice to join, so you do not need to commit to any of them. Our full Dark Souls covenants guide has the exact location and requirement for all nine.
The Ten Weapon Upgrade Trophies
Each upgrade trophy asks for the "best weapon" along one reinforcement path, meaning a weapon taken to that path's maximum. The wiki's trophy guide lays out where each path begins:

- Strongest Weapon: the regular path, using titanite all the way.
- Crystal and Lightning: take a normal weapon to +10, then the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo ascends it.
- Raw: a +5 weapon, ascended by Andre.
- Magic: a +5 weapon, ascended by Rickert with the Large Magic Ember; Enchanted continues from a +5 Magic weapon with the Enchanted Ember.
- Divine: a +5 weapon, ascended by Andre with a Divine Ember; Occult continues from a +5 Divine weapon with the Dark Ember.
- Fire: a +5 weapon, ascended by Vamos with the Large Flame Ember; Chaos continues from a +5 Fire weapon with the Chaos Flame Ember.
Pick cheap weapons for these, such as daggers or other light starting gear, and save your best titanite for your main weapon. The embers are spread across the whole game, so you will finish most of these late in your first cycle. The Large Divine Ember, for instance, sits in the Tomb of the Giants. Chaos weapons scale with humanity, so if you plan to use yours in combat, our humanity farming guide shows where to stock up.
Knight's Honor and the Spell Collections
Knight's Honor is the trophy that dictates the whole platinum. It wants every rare weapon, and the wiki lists where they come from: boss soul weapons made by the Giant Blacksmith, tail cuts from the Bridge Wyvern, Gaping Dragon, Seath, Priscilla and the Everlasting Dragon, drops from Silver Knights, Stone Knights and Black Knights, some NPC invaders, chests and covenant rewards. Named examples include the Giant's Halberd, Crest Shield, Crescent Axe, Channeler's Trident and Demon's Spear. Some boss souls can become more than one weapon, and each boss gives up its soul once per cycle, which is why the wiki puts the minimum at three playthroughs.
The three spell trophies are mostly about not letting the teachers die or leave:
- Wisdom of a Sage. Several sorceries are sold by mages, one of whom you must rescue and talk through fully, and two spells are only obtained after the two mages die. High Intelligence may be needed before they will sell to you.
- Bond of a Pyromancer. The Chaos Servants grant two pyromancies, one of them only after ranking up, and others are found in Lost Izalith, the Painted World and Blighttown.
- Prayer of a Maiden. Seven miracles come from covenants, including one that needs a Soul of Gwyn, and two come from the Pisacas in the Duke's Archives. The wiki advises buying every purchasable miracle early.
The Gwyn miracle is the Sunlight Spear: reach rank +1 in the Warrior of Sunlight covenant, then offer the Soul of Gwyn at the Undead Parish altar. A starting class with spells gives you a head start here; our Dark Souls class guide compares the Pyromancer, Sorcerer and Cleric openings.
A Three-Playthrough Roadmap
- First cycle: progress and discovery. Follow a standard route, ring both bells, collect the Lordvessel and the four great souls, and trigger every covenant dialogue, visiting Kaathe before placing the Lordvessel. Kill Priscilla and Gwyndolin, cut the tails as you meet each dragon, buy every spell while the vendors are alive, and push your spare weapons down the upgrade paths. Our Dark Souls boss order guide lays out where each of these opportunities appears.
- Finish the first cycle with one ending. Beating Gwyn sends you straight into New Game+ with no option to decline, so finish every first-cycle task before you enter the Kiln.
- Second cycle: the other ending and more boss weapons. Trade the new boss souls for the soul weapons you skipped, offer the Soul of Gwyn for the Sunlight Spear once your covenant rank allows it, and take the other ending.
- Third cycle: the last boss weapons. Collect the final soul weapons for Knight's Honor. The Dark Soul unlocks the moment the last trophy pops.
The two endings are simple to split: To Link the Fire comes from lighting the bonfire after Gwyn, and The Dark Lord comes from leaving his arena without lighting it. Our Dark Souls endings breakdown explains what each choice means for the story.
Habits That Save Hours
Most of the time lost on this platinum comes from small oversights that force an extra trip or even an extra cycle. A few habits prevent nearly all of them.
- Keep a written checklist of rare weapons. Tick each one off as you get it, and note which boss souls you have spent. It is far easier than trying to remember on cycle three.
- Cut every tail before the kill. The Bridge Wyvern, Gaping Dragon, Seath, Priscilla and the Everlasting Dragon all have tail weapons, and a dead boss cannot be revisited until the next cycle.
- Buy spells the moment you can. Vendors who die or leave take their stock with them, and the miracle sellers are worth clearing out early, as the wiki advises.
- Switch covenants from the bonfire. Remastered lets you abandon a covenant from the bonfire menu without gaining sin, which avoids paying Oswald every time you move on.
- Use spare weapons for the upgrade trophies. Each path needs its own weapon, so pick cheap ones you will never use and keep your titanite for your main build.
Finally, do not rush the first cycle. Almost every trophy except the second ending and the last boss weapons can be earned on it, and the more you finish there, the faster the two remaining cycles go.
Want It Done for You?
If three full cycles is more time than you have, the store offers a Dark Souls platinum trophy service for PS4 and PS5. Its product page describes full platinum completion unlocked directly on your account, covering every bronze, silver and gold trophy, and you specify which Dark Souls title you want at checkout.
The page offers two timestamp options: instant, where everything unlocks within a few seconds, or spread out, where trophies unlock on different dates with realistic gaps. You provide your account details at checkout so the work can be done on your profile. See the Dark Souls platinum trophy service page for the current options, or browse the rest of the Dark Souls section.
