Borderlands 4 Black Market Location: Finding Maurice

Borderlands 4 YouTube thumbnail: Black Market Vending Machine Location!! (Nov 5 2026) - Borderlands 4

For the week that began Thursday, November 5, 2026, Maurice's Black Market vending machine in Borderlands 4 is in the Carcadia Burn region, according to Mobalytics' weekly tracker, and it stays there until the next weekly reset on Thursday. The machine moves every week, so the real answer to "where is it" is learning how to read the weekly rotation, unlock the machine and spot its map marker. This guide covers all three, plus what the machine sells and how its cooldown works.

We checked this against the official Borderlands weekly update and Version 1.10 and 1.11 patch notes, Mobalytics' weekly activities tracker, Blueberries' Black Market guide, Shacknews and the Borderlands Fandom wiki in November 2026.

Where the Black Market Is This Week

Mobalytics, updated on November 5, 2026, lists Carcadia Burn as the Black Market region for the current week. That tracker names the region rather than an exact building, so expect to do a little searching once you arrive. The good news is that you rarely have to search blind: once the machine is unlocked, Blueberries notes that a waypoint marker appears on your map after each weekly reset and stays there until the next one.

If the marker is missing, it almost always means the machine is not unlocked on that character yet (more on that below), or that you are playing offline. Gearbox changed how weekly content is delivered on August 6, 2026: the official weekly update says the Big Encore boss, the Wildcard mission and the Black Market relocation are now refreshed through Gearbox's servers instead of weekly patches, so you see the current rotation as long as you play with an internet connection.

Recent weeks show how much the machine moves around. Here are the regions Mobalytics recorded since the Story Pack 2 update:

When the Machine Moves

The weekly reset happens on Thursdays. Mobalytics gives the time as 10am PST, which is 1pm EST and 6pm GMT, and that matches Gearbox's long-standing schedule of refreshing weekly activities on Thursdays. Plan your shopping around it: if you find the machine late on a Wednesday, anything you want has to be bought before the reset moves it and replaces its stock.

Blueberries' guide also lists a Friday 1:00 AM Eastern time on the same page, so sources are not perfectly consistent. In practice, the safest habit is to check the map after the Thursday afternoon reset in your time zone and treat the old location as gone from that point on.

How to Unlock Maurice's Black Market

The machine is an endgame feature. Blueberries explains that it opens only after you finish the main campaign, through a side mission called Ultimate Vault Hunter: Maurice's Bounty, which leads you to your first Black Market machine. The Fandom wiki's Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode page lists Maurice's Bounty among the requirements for UVHM level 1, alongside all main missions, Big Encore, Wildcard Missions, Zane's Firmware and Unpaid Tab, so you will complete it naturally while starting the endgame.

After the first visit, Blueberries says you need to finish the related Ultimate Vault Hunter missions (Zane's Firmware, Big Encore and Wildcard Mission) before the machine's full weekly gear rotation opens up. If you skip those, the marker may appear while the machine still feels limited. It is worth knocking them out early, because they are also part of your path through the Ultimate Vault Hunter ranks, which our existing Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode guide covers in more depth.

What Maurice Sells and How the Cooldown Works

The Black Market is a Legendary shop that charges cash. When Shacknews documented it in October 2025, the machine stocked four variations of two Legendary items, each costing millions, and after a single purchase the machine entered a four-and-a-half-hour cooldown that also rerolled the stock. Blueberries describes a similar reroll behavior and adds that the cooldown is visible when you hover over the Black Market icon on the map.

Two details trip people up:

  • Your stock is personal. Every official weekly update since launch repeats the same note: the location is shared, but your vending machine items are different from other players. Ask your co-op partners what they see, because a friend may have the exact roll you want.
  • Bring cash. Since items cost millions, a quick money run before the reset pays off. Our existing Borderlands 4 money farm guide lists efficient ways to build that bank.

Gearbox has also been tuning the machine. Version 1.10 on September 10, 2026 updated the machine's automation "for consistency," and Version 1.11 on October 22, 2026 addressed instances of the machine being filled with inconsistent gear, so stock quality should be more predictable than it was earlier in the year.

How to Find the Exact Spot Fast

Region names are big. A few habits make the last few hundred meters easier:

  1. Open the map after the reset and look for the Black Market weekly activity marker before you fast travel anywhere.
  2. Pick the nearest fast travel point or safehouse to the marker, then switch to your vehicle for the last stretch.
  3. Look inside and under structures. Shacknews describes the machine as sometimes lightly hidden behind or under things, or tucked in an out-of-the-way corner.
  4. Check side areas that open through missions. Blueberries warns that some map areas start closed, so a location can be harder to reach until you finish certain side missions.

Past locations show the pattern. In October 2025 Shacknews found the machine inside a run-down house near an orange-leafed tree in Idolator's Noose, about 800 meters southwest of the Someday Rise Safehouse. In June 2026 Blueberries placed it in a sewer in Glory Part, Fades District, with Zadra's Lab as the nearest fast travel. Neither spot is current, but both show the machine favors interiors over open roads.

Making the Most of a Weekly Visit

A Black Market Legendary is only as good as how well it fits your build. Before you spend millions, check two things on the item card. First, the firmware: since level 25, gear can carry firmware set bonuses, and our Borderlands 4 firmware list shows which sets stack well together. Second, how the item interacts with your enhancement, because manufacturer part bonuses can make or break a gun; our enhancements explainer breaks those down by manufacturer.

Element matters too. A Legendary in the wrong element can feel weak against armored or shielded targets, so compare it against the damage chart in our elemental damage guide before committing. Finally, if you have spare Golden Keys from codes, open them at the cap rather than mid-climb, as our SHiFT codes guide explains.

A Weekly Routine Built Around the Reset

The Black Market is one of three activities that rotate together, and treating them as a single weekly checklist saves a lot of fast travel. The official weekly notes describe the other two: the Weekly Big Encore boss, a tougher variant of an existing boss with a richer loot pool, and the Weekly Wildcard mission, which always awards a set Legendary that you can earn repeatedly until you get the roll you want. The official August 6 update also notes that, once the campaign is done, the Big Encore boss and Wildcard mission appear on the Map tab of your ECHO menu.

For the week starting November 5, 2026, Mobalytics lists the Wildcard mission as One Slimy Issue with the Lumberjack Daedalus assault rifle as its reward, and the Big Encore target as The Battle Wagon. A simple routine for the week:

  1. Right after the Thursday reset, open the map and note all three weekly markers.
  2. Run the Wildcard mission and the Big Encore boss first. Both are boosted Legendary sources, so they may cover your build before you spend millions on Maurice.
  3. Visit the Black Market last, with a full bank, and compare its stock against what the other two activities already gave you.
  4. If nothing fits, come back after the cooldown for a reroll instead of buying a near miss.

Avoid three common mistakes along the way. Do not assume a co-op partner's stock matches yours, since each player's items differ. Do not leave a purchase until Thursday afternoon, because the reset replaces both location and stock. And do not burn your only reroll late in the week: Blueberries notes that the machine appears to follow the regular vending machine daily reset timer, so a cooldown started close to the weekly reset may not finish before the machine moves on.

If You Would Rather Not Chase the Machine

The weekly hunt is fun, but rolls are random and Maurice may not stock what your build needs for weeks. The store's Borderlands 4 Must-Have Weapons and Gear listing lets you build an order from the options on the page, and it asks only for your SHiFT display name (Main Menu, Social, Account Details) and says it does not ask for your password. The listing covers PSN, Xbox and PC, with delivery matching the platform tied to your SHiFT profile, and timing arranged by email through in-game trade or session coordination.

Other boosting options for the game are grouped in the store's Borderlands 4 section, and the listing suggests contacting the store before ordering if any package detail is unclear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Maurice's Black Market this week in Borderlands 4?

For the week starting November 5, 2026, Mobalytics lists the Carcadia Burn region. Once the machine is unlocked, its exact spot is marked on your map until the Thursday reset.

When does the Black Market reset?

Weekly activities reset on Thursdays, listed by Mobalytics as 10am PST. Since August 6, 2026 the rotation is refreshed through Gearbox's servers, so you need an internet connection to see it.

Why can't I see the Black Market on my map?

It unlocks after the main campaign through the side mission Ultimate Vault Hunter: Maurice's Bounty. Until that mission is done on your character, the weekly marker will not help you.

Does everyone get the same Black Market items?

No. Official weekly notes say the location is shared but each player's vending machine items are different, so friends can compare stock.

What does the Black Market cost?

It sells Legendary items for in-game cash, and Shacknews reported prices in the millions. Buying one item triggers a cooldown that rerolls the stock.

Can I reroll the Black Market?

Guides describe a reroll that happens when the machine goes on cooldown after use, shown when you hover over its map icon. You cannot force a new location before the weekly reset.
