8 Ball Pool Account Recovery: What Works in 2026

8 Ball Pool YouTube thumbnail: How to Recover 8 Ball Pool Account 2026? 8 Ball Pool Account Recovery

Whether 8 Ball Pool account recovery is possible depends almost entirely on how the account was saved: if it was linked to Facebook, Google, Apple or a Miniclip ID, you recover it by logging in with that same service, and if it was a guest account, Miniclip says it cannot be recovered at all. Miniclip's support team also does not make manual account changes, so the steps you take yourself matter most. This post covers every case Miniclip documents, from forgotten passwords to hacked accounts, as of November 2026.

Everything here comes from Miniclip's own help center, including its articles on lost accounts, saving guest accounts, linking multiple logins, password resets, hacked accounts, account bans and the official support channels, which we read in November 2026.

Step One: Work Out What Kind of Account You Had

Before trying anything, figure out how the account was saved, because each type has a different path back. Miniclip's lost account article sorts players into four situations: a guest account, an account linked to Miniclip, Facebook, Google or Apple that you can still access, a linked account whose password you have forgotten, and a linked account whose Facebook, Google or Apple login was deleted or disabled.

  • Guest account. Progress is stored on the device. Miniclip says that if the device data is lost, the account is not recoverable.
  • Facebook, Google or Apple. The most common setup. Your progress follows the social login, so recovering it means getting back into that login.
  • Miniclip ID. A stand-alone login with its own email and password. Miniclip notes that new 8 Ball Pool accounts can no longer be created with a Miniclip ID, so only older accounts have one.

It also helps to find your Unique ID if you still have any way into the game. Miniclip describes it as a set of numbers generated when you start playing that stays the same while the account is active, whether or not Facebook or other services are linked. You can see it on your Profile page and copy it with the icon next to it. Write it down: support will ask for it.

Recovering a Linked Account, Step by Step

If your account was linked and you still have access to that login, recovery is usually quick. Miniclip's instruction is simply to log in with the same service you linked the account to.

  1. Open 8 Ball Pool on the device and tap the Settings icon on the main screen.
  2. Choose the login you originally linked: Facebook, Google, Apple or Miniclip ID.
  3. Sign in with the exact same Facebook, Google or Apple account you used before, not a different one with a similar name.
  4. Check the result in Settings, then Account, which shows the linked account status.

If you land on a fresh account instead, do not play on it yet. Miniclip's "My coins are missing" article warns that logging in with a different method, or after changing your social network details, can create a new account or open another existing one instead of your usual account. Log out, then try the original login again.

Facebook logins have their own common failure. Miniclip says these issues might come from the Facebook platform itself, and recommends fully closing the game, logging out of the Facebook app, logging back in, and contacting Facebook if the problem persists.

Forgotten Passwords and Disabled Logins

A forgotten password is not a lost account, as long as you can reset it with the right provider.

  • Miniclip ID. Go to me.miniclip.com, choose "I forgot my password", enter your email and select Recover Password, then open the "Recover your password" email and follow the Reset Password link. The new password needs at least 8 characters. Miniclip notes this only works for stand-alone Miniclip accounts.
  • No email arriving. Miniclip's checklist: make sure the email is valid and the same one used for the game account, and check your spam folder.
  • Facebook, Google or Apple. Miniclip cannot reset these. Use each provider's own password recovery, and once you are back in, log in to the game with that provider.
  • Disabled or deleted social login. Miniclip's lost account article links to the Facebook, Google and Apple help pages for disabled accounts. Because the game account is tied to that login, getting the social account reinstated is the route back.

Changing the email on a linked account works the same way. Miniclip's email change article sends Facebook, Google and Apple users to each provider's own settings, and only Miniclip ID accounts change their email through Miniclip, with a confirmation link that is valid for 2 hours.

When It Looks Lost but Is Not

Plenty of "lost account" scares turn out to be something smaller, and it is worth ruling these out before you assume the worst.

  • Pool Pass, cues or events vanished after an update. Miniclip says updating or reinstalling can make the Pool Pass, special cues, promotions or events disappear from the main menu for a few minutes. Purchased content is not removed, and playing a match or a minigame triggers the update that brings it back.
  • Coins are lower than you remember. Miniclip's missing coins article lists cue recharge costs with auto-recharge turned on, table rental fees on higher tables, and matches someone else played on your device as the usual causes.
  • You are on the wrong profile. If the level and avatar look unfamiliar, you are probably signed in with a different login method than usual. Log out from Settings and sign in with your original provider.
  • You updated and suspect a ban. Miniclip states that bans and updates are not related, so an update alone does not lock you out.

If the balance drop is large and none of these apply, read Miniclip's suspension article before contacting support, since coin removals for rule breaks are permanent and are not reversed through tickets.

What Miniclip Support Can and Cannot Do

This is the part most players do not expect. Miniclip's help center states that its Player Experience team does not make changes to account details. Its list covers unlinking from Facebook, Google, Apple or Miniclip ID, changing an email address, recovering lost accounts, recovering hacked accounts and changing passwords.

Two more limits apply. A permanently banned account will not be recovered. And under Miniclip's retention policy, accounts that have been inactive for 3 years are deleted, after which nothing can be done to bring them back.

Support is still worth contacting for problems such as missing purchases or bugs. Miniclip says the fastest route is in the game: tap Settings, then Help and Support (sometimes labeled Contact Us), and pick the topic. On the web, use the request form on support.miniclip.com. Its ticket guide asks for the game, your email, your Unique ID, a short subject, a description and screenshots, and warns that sending more than one ticket delays the answer rather than speeding it up.

If Your Account Was Hacked

A hacked account is secured through whichever login it uses, since Miniclip's team cannot change account details for you.

  • Miniclip ID only: change your password on the Miniclip site.
  • Facebook: change your Facebook password as fast as possible and end every session on devices that are not yours.
  • Google or Apple: reset the password and follow the provider's guidance for compromised accounts.

Miniclip notes that once you change your Facebook, Google or Apple details, the change applies to every game where you use that login. It also warns that forcing a sign-out from the game is no assurance that you can fully recover the account, which is why it asks players to always log out on devices that are not their own and never share accounts.

Be careful who you ask for help. Miniclip says it will never ask for your password, social login password or verification codes, never moves support to WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord or private messages, and lists "recover your account for your login details" as a scam sign. Anyone offering paid recovery outside the official channels is not Miniclip.

Guest Accounts: The Hard Truth, and How to Avoid It Next Time

Miniclip is blunt about guest accounts: if the device data is lost, so is the account, including its level, purchases, coins and items, and its articles say guest accounts cannot be recovered. If that is your situation, the most useful thing you can do is protect the next account properly.

  1. Open Settings on the main screen, choose Account, and link Google, Facebook or Apple.
  2. Add a second login. Miniclip lets you link another provider from Settings once the account is saved; for example, a Facebook-linked account can add Google on Android or Apple on iOS.
  3. Note your Unique ID somewhere safe.

Miniclip adds a few warnings about links. Each Facebook, Google or Apple login can only be linked to one game profile at a time, a provider can only be moved once, and moving the only login off an old profile leaves you with no way back into it. Deleting an account is also not a reset: Miniclip says deletion can take up to 30 days, and its Facebook article warns that a Facebook account sometimes cannot be relinked afterward.

If you are rebuilding from zero, our guides to free coins, choosing your first cues and Legendary cues cover how to rebuild a collection efficiently.

Starting Over Without Starting From Zero

Some players who lose a guest account decide they do not want to rebuild years of progress, and the store's 8 Ball Pool section lists accounts from marketplace sellers described by coins, Legendary cues, Cash and level. Keep in mind that Miniclip's terms prohibit giving, selling or otherwise transferring an account or virtual items to another person, and its help center says it may ban accounts where it detects a change of ownership.
