The COD Mobile battle pass is a seasonal reward track with free tiers that every player can earn and premium tiers that unlock after you buy the Premium Pass, and in 2026 every season's free tiers have included a brand-new weapon. The current pass, Vampires vs Werewolves, runs until Season 10 launches on November 11 at 4PM PT with the 7th Anniversary pass and the free Signal 50 sniper rifle. This guide explains what each track gives you, what the Ground Forces subscription adds, and how to clear tiers before a season ends.
We checked this against Activision's official Call of Duty: Mobile season announcements for 2026 on the Call of Duty blog, Activision Support's region and COD Points pages, and Gfinity's battle pass coverage in November 2026.
How the Battle Pass Works in 2026
Every 2026 announcement describes the pass the same way: a free and a premium stream containing Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards and additional COD Points that you can spend on your next Premium Pass or in the Store. The free stream is open to everyone the moment a season starts. Buying the Premium Pass opens the premium stream on top of it, so premium owners earn both sets of rewards from the same tier progress.

Seasons are short. Activision launched 2026 seasons on January 14, February 11, March 18, April 22, May 27, July 1, August 5, September 9 and October 14, with Season 10 set for November 11. That puts most seasons at four to six weeks, and Season 9 itself lasts exactly four weeks. A short season means a pass you start late is hard to finish, so the first week matters more than it looks.
The pass also has a theme each season that ties its operators and blueprints together. In 2026 that has ranged from the winter Frozen Abyss pass in Season 1 to Season 9's community-voted Vampires vs Werewolves, the first season in which players voted on the theme and the designs of the premium operator skins and blueprints.
Is the premium side worth it? It comes down to two questions: whether you like the season's cosmetics, and whether you will play enough to reach the later tiers where much of the value sits. A player who logs in daily for the whole season gets far more from the same purchase than one who plays on weekends only.
Free Tiers: A New Weapon Every Season
The single most valuable thing in the free stream is the new weapon. Activision has put one in the free tiers of every 2026 pass, which means any player who plays enough can unlock the season's new gun without spending anything. Here is the full list for the year so far, with Activision's own description of each:
| Season | Pass | Free weapon | Activision's description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Frozen Abyss | LC10 SMG | Low recoil, high fire rate |
| 2 | Lunar Charge | Lachman-556 AR | Bridges SMG and assault rifle play |
| 3 | Paranoia | MX Guardian shotgun | High-capacity, full-auto 12-gauge |
| 4 | Eternal Prison | DP27 LMG | High damage, high capacity, pan magazine |
| 5 | Revenge | BAL-27 AR | Fire rate accelerates through sustained fire |
| 6 | Take Your Heart | FSS Hurricane SMG | Built for sustained close-range fights |
| 7 | Terminated | Cronen Squall AR | Lower recoil and rate of fire, steady shots |
| 8 | Against All Fate | ISO Hemlock AR | High damage with low recoil |
| 9 | Vampires vs Werewolves | Grav AR | High bullet velocity for ranged fights |
| 10 | 7th Anniversary | Signal 50 sniper | Fast-firing, suited to long sightlines |
The free stream holds more than weapons. Season 1 added the Inflatable Decoy tactical, Season 3 added the Tactical Mirror Battle Royale class, Season 6 added the VTOL Jet scorestreak and Season 7 added the Overload Battle Royale class. Many seasons also list Vault Coins among the free rewards, which matter for the Battle Pass Vault covered below. Whether a new gun is worth leveling right away is a separate question, and our best guns breakdown for this season covers where the newest weapons sit against the established meta.
What the Premium Pass Adds
The premium stream is where the headline cosmetics live. For Season 10, Activision lists premium operator skins including Naga in Trickster Royale, Velikan in Blackcell, Death Angel Alice in Midnight and Keegan in Trap Master Royale, plus weapon blueprints such as the RAM-7 Golden Shadow, KRM 262 Regal Shot, Hades Tartarus and a Signal 50 blueprint called Nightfallen. Every 2026 premium stream Activision described also includes a blueprint for that season's new weapon, so premium owners get a styled version of the gun the free stream unlocks.

The current Season 9 premium stream is a good example of what you are paying for. It is the first to feature player-voted designs: the Minotaur Pack Commander werewolf skin and the Sparrowhawk Moonlight Vengeance vampire skin won the community votes, along with the CX9 Wolven Moonrise SMG blueprint and the 3-Line Rifle Cantus Rubra sniper blueprint. The same stream adds Artery as The Hunter, Calisto as The Witch, the MG82 Bloodsucker's Ban LMG blueprint and the Grav Solstice Herald blueprint for the season's new rifle. If none of a season's premium items appeal to you, the free stream alone still delivers the new weapon, so you lose nothing gameplay-wise by skipping a pass.
Price is the detail Activision's announcements leave out. None of the 2026 season posts states a COD Points price for the Premium Pass, and Activision's region support page says COD Points prices for store items can change when your registered country changes. For a reference point, Gfinity's 2024 coverage said passes typically cost 560 COD Points, but check the Battle Pass screen in your game for the current figure rather than relying on an older number.
The COD Points included in the pass are the reason many players buy it once and keep it going. Activision describes them as points to spend on your next Premium Pass or Store purchase, so finishing the premium stream returns part of what you paid. How much you get back depends on how far you progress, which is another reason to start early.
The Ground Forces Subscription
Alongside the pass sits the Battle Pass Subscription, which Activision brands as Ground Forces. Every 2026 announcement lists the same core benefits: additional monthly rewards, a 10% boost to Player and Weapon XP, discount coupons and limited discounts on 10-crate pulls. On top of those, each season gives subscribers its own small bundle.
- Season 9: the Urban Makarov operator skin, the R9-0 Hellborne Hybrid weapon blueprint and the Hybrid Howl backpack.
- Season 10: the Pathfinder Undaunted Blackcell operator skin, the Outlaw Trickster's Royale weapon blueprint and the Trickster's Bag backpack.
The 10% XP boost is the practical benefit for tier progress, because it speeds up the player and weapon leveling that runs alongside the pass. Whether it is worth it depends on how much you play. Someone who logs in a few times a week gets less out of a monthly subscription than someone who plays daily.
Challenge Pass, Vault and Other Free Tracks
The Battle Pass is not the only seasonal track. Each 2026 season also runs a Challenge Pass, where you complete Standard, Special and Elite Missions to earn tokens for an Exchange. In Season 8, that Exchange held the Static-HV, a new SMG with a 50-round magazine. In Season 9, the Challenge HQ uses daily and weekly tasks, and its tokens buy items including the QXR Rose Requiem blueprint and the Showoff emote.
The Battle Pass Vault brings back older passes so players can collect Epic rewards they missed. Season 9 added three to the Vault: Shadows Return from Season 10 of 2021, To the Skies from Season 6 of 2022 and Orbital Raiders from Season 9 of 2024. Season 10 adds the Final Snow pass from 2021. According to MobileMatters' January 2025 guide, you first buy an old pass from the BP Vault with COD Points, then spend Vault Coins to unlock its tiers at 10 coins per tier, and a pass bought this way does not expire. Vault Coins come from leveling the current pass, some in the free stream and some in the premium one, so do not ignore them.
Seasonal events stack on top of all this. Season 9's Call of the Dead event, for example, unlocks the K-9 Unit Fantasma operator skill skin for anyone who collects 100 Howlbones. The rotating undead playlists that come with events like that one are covered in our guide to Zombies in COD Mobile.
How to Clear the Pass Before It Ends
With seasons as short as four weeks, a plan helps. These habits make the biggest difference:
- Start in the first few days. Tier progress you skip early is hard to make up in a four-week season.
- Check daily and weekly tasks before each session and pick the mode they ask for, rather than playing your favorite mode and hoping tasks complete on their own.
- Stack progress where you can. A Ground Forces subscription adds 10% Player and Weapon XP, and events running alongside the pass often reward the same matches.
- Decide early which Vault pass you want, since new passes join the Vault each season, and put your Vault Coins toward it.
- Claim your rewards. Items sit unclaimed until you collect them, and unclaimed COD Points do nothing for your next pass.
Two related guides help here. None of the 2026 premium streams Activision described included a Mythic item; those come from Store draws and special events, and our Mythic weapons guide explains how those work. And because free rewards sometimes come through codes and mail rather than tiers, the Redemption Center guide covers how to claim them.
Skipping the Seasonal Grind
Each pass delivers a handful of items, and passes from years past are only partly recoverable through the Vault. Players who would rather start with a profile that already holds older operators and blueprints can browse the COD Mobile accounts in our store, which come from marketplace sellers and describe their own contents. Under Activision's Terms of Use, though, accounts may not be bought, sold or traded, and Activision does not recognize account transfers.
